To get an advantage over the competition we need to understand the ingredients that when mixed make the recipe of "Success"" .

Who remembers spending time in the kitchen with their Gran baking all sorts of goodies.

You remember the smells, the textures of the ingredients and the anticpation in waiting to see of it would turn out as you planned it....... you see the process of success had already been taught to you....

See it, smell it and taste it.

So for today we are going back in time and are creating the recipe of success, here is what you need as ingredients!

4. Fourth Ingredient Seek to make difference to others today
5. Fifth Ingredient Have a pure spirit of intent in all your actions today
6. Sixth Ingredient Display and attitude of gratitude today
7. Seventh Ingredient Operate with unbridled energy today
8. Eighth ingredient Be a fountain of enthusiasm today
9. Ninth Ingredient Live to your highest standards today
10. Tenth Ingredient Celebrate each minute and moment today.

Now give it all a good mix and it will appear.......

I have just had the chance to read a book called Kitchener's Last Volunteer, its' the life story of Henry Allingham the oldest surviving veteran of the first Great War. What an amazing life.


Henry Allingham was born on the 6th June 1896 he is 112 years old as in fact the oldest man in the UK, the oldest surviving World War I British veteran, a founding member of the Royal Air Force and the last known survivor of the Battle of Jutland.

In August 2005 he led the nation in the Lord's Prayer at the Cenotaph in London to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the outbreak of World War 1. In 2003 he was awarded The Legion d'Honneur, France's highest decoration established by Napoleon Bonaparte in May 1802 for gallantry in action or distinguished service in military or civilian life.


Henry joined the Royal Naval Air Service in 1915 as an aircraft mechanic and acted as an observer and gunner searching for U-boats, Zeppelins and mines over the North Sea. In May 1916 he was ordered aboard HMT Kingfisher as it set out to join the British Battle Fleet, to help launch a Sopwith Schneider seaplane to look for the German Battle Fleet. It was night when the Kingfisher met up with the fleet and Henry witnessed the ensuing 'Battle of Jutland'; he recalls "seeing shells ricocheting across the sea". The Battle of Jutland was the greatest naval battle of the First World War and, although the Royal Navy lost more ships, it was considered a British victory as the Royal Navy retained command of the seas and maintained the blockade of Germany, which ultimately brought Germany to its knees.


What i want us all to think about is the following, just think of the amazing inventions Henry has seen with his own eyes..............., cars, rockets, ships, planes, just think of all the powerful speeches Henry has heard with his own ears, consider all the events that have taken place in that 112 years, Wars, The Titanic, Hiroshima, Cold Wars, Blockade of Berlin, the great people in that period, Baldwin, Churchill, Sir Edmund Hilary, Ali, Einstein, Ghandi, Martin Luther King and now Obhama......... Every minute of every day history is taking place.

Will you see as much as Henry in your life, are you aware of what is going on around you now, are you partcipating in the greatest event we ever get given..... your own life...!!

Or are you wishing every day away as if it didn't matter....... you see your only here for a flicker in a span of time, will you die as if you have never lived!!!

At 112 years of age there are no ordinary moments, every second of every day is valuable to Henry, remember you may not get to 112,

Have no regrets in life, say what you need to say, to whom you need to say it to, do what you want to do , when you want to do it, be the person you want to become. more importantly. DO IT NOW

To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written. here is the column once more:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone...
4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first pay cheque.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

In order to manifest what ever you want in your life consider the following universal laws,

The Seven Frames of Success.

1. Take responsibility for where you are, you are where you are as a result of your decisions, good or bad. Your decisions have been made as a result of the quality of information you gave yourself to make them on. The information was sent to you as a result of the questions you asked about the circumstances of your life.

So too create what you want, ask a better question! What should i stop doing right now?, what should i do more of?, where do i want to be in 3 years? who do i want by my side?, why do i want them in my life. Ask a better question, get a better answer!

2. Clarify your values. Are you doing what you truly love doing, what are you compromising in your life right now?, what is not perfect?, how could you make it perfect?, knowing your values and keeping your values are two different things. Assess what you stand for, who you are at source right now and then make sure you are truly doing whatever your life's purpose is.

3. Clean up your memories - Spend time to learn the lessons from any painful memory you have received in your life, once you have recognised the lesson let the memory go as it will serve no future purpose for you. To many people are happy wallowing the painful experiences from yesterday, they spend all their day's changing memories into limiting beliefs. Limiting beliefs that effect future performances and perceptions negatively. So this week clean up your memories and banish them from your thoughts forever.

4, Program your future by creating future memories, now this sound weird i know............. however start to think about how you want events, days or your life to go, imagine if you could see the perfect experience what would you see and hear, more importantly how would it make you feel! Great i hope. You see as the future has not arrived yet, you can paint it in any shape you want, you can create your own masterpiece.

two things i have learnt about life are that the past does not equal the future and it's never too late to become who you might have been.

Create empowering positive future visions of how you want things too be for you and your life and then watch them manifest in your everyday life. If you want to be more confident, ask yourself what a confident person would say to themselves, how would they stand, what would their voice sound like, how would they plan their day........... put these questions out there and watch the universe provide you with the answers.

5. Write down what you want, not what you don't want - What is it you truly want for you and those around you, why is it important, what will you see, hear and feel when you have it, is it just for you or others?............ follow the Goal Setting Article which will appear here in the next few days and spend time creating you future by building giant empowering blood stirring goals.

6. Play everything at 100% - Life is too be lived everyday is special, waste not a second of it for one day it will disappear. Risk more, in a survey of 75 year old's i was involved in recently each one of them too a man and woman said that if they could have their time again, they would risk more!

How many of you associate with the whiners and whingers, it's too hot, it's too cold, I'm bored..... i never get any breaks..... stay away from the dope's in your life, they serve one purpose to slow your speed down and make you carry their load and when you do that you will be living life at 10 - 20% of what you are truly capable of! - Stay clear of the dream stealer's they will pollute you!

7. Align your thoughts with your goals and take massive action now!

As a man thinketh then so is he, you have on average 70,000 thoughts per day the secret lies in making as many of these positive one's. Start to think what it would be like achieving your goals, watch how great it makes you feel, make sure you focus on the first step which we will talk more about in the goal planning article later this week, then go for it, in the words of Nike "Just Do it".
