carpe diem Latin [ˈkɑːpɪ ˈdiːɛm] enjoy the pleasures of the moment, without concern for the future [literally: seize the day!]

I was considering what to write about in my blog today. Then it occured to me....... Over the past few months I've been blessed to work with many amazing people in many different workshops. What has become apparent to me is that, in these workshops I have  witnessed so many participants "Seizing the day", throwing themselves into the learning opportunity with passion and wild abandon!

Its a true joy to work with these people over a period of months, seeing their growth, sharing their journey. They squeeze every last drop from the opportunity to develop themselves, and thay have fun!

But there are those; a small minority, who despite having made a conscious choice to attend, aren't able to "Let go" and fully engage. Of course we're all on our own personal journey, and only the individual themselves can make the choice to grow or stay stuck. But it did make me consider what's going on there? why do some people just relish the change and some people push it away when they so clearly crave to change themselves, their situation or their environment?

The  main difference I have noticed  is where the individuals feel "Responsibilty" lies. Those who have come to believe that they are responsible for steering their own lives, despite their surroundings and situations really move forward at a rate of knotts, they appear limitless and create and manifest their greatest dreams.

However those who place the responsibility outside of themselves, blaming others, their environment, their situation, everything and everyone, not considering themselves, seem to stay stuck, going round in continuous circles of frustration, dissappointment and limits, no matter what tools and gifts of shared knowledge is imparted.

But what's the root cause?
Why do some people take responsibilty and some people give away responsibilty?

LOVE or FEAR

Those that love themselves enough and love those around them..... choose to act in accordance with the heart, their empowering beliefs...... they consciously choose the ability to determine their response.... and they choose LOVE

Those that FEAR choose to act in accordance with their limiting beliefs
they dont recognise their ability to actively choose their response and remain stuck in FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real)..... waiting or allowing  a situation or another person to choose for them.

But there is a question that can unlock this limitation.............
If you should ever find yourself stuck or fearful of  "Seizing the day" and diving right in ask yourself: "What would LOVE do?"

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” ~Steve Jobs

Carpe diem ~Seize the day!
Until next time,
Make every moment count,
