Today's storytelling.
A whim away....
Ha ha see what the universal comms team did there ?
The Lion Sleeps tonight...

Now if this doesn't have you singing along and smiling today, I don't know what will.

Enter the king of wands (wands representative of the fire element and action) boy has he got a mesmerising aura about him. Like his passionate gaze could melt you in a heart beat.
He is his own man, no airs and graces, quirky and unique in his approach. He has unrivaled passion for life and living it. He emanates strength, he takes massive action towards his huge, audacious dreams. Not interested in the minutiae, he's a big picture, entrepreneurial spirit.

Wow, feel his energy!

Maybe he's urging us to dream bigger, take passionate action, don't worry about how others do things, just show up, be ourselves... the true authentic, quirky, unusual, eclectic ... crazy, fun loving , fist pumping 100% .... version of us ( no playing it small with this guy) I kinda like his style.

Next we have the 4 of pentacles ( pentacles representative of the Earth element and manifestation) 4 is all about stability. 4 is also associated with organisation, patience, loyalty and trust.
When this number appears, it gives us important messages, reminding us to think more of traditional values and inner wisdom. Number 4 also represents seriousness, order and determination.

Ooer.. quite a contrast to our abundance focused King hey?
Quite the opposite, we see a woman hanging onto her purse of pentacles (coins) afraid of lack. She's dressed in red, representative of the base chakra.

"When we balance our base chakra, we can develop a deep trust in our place in the world, and a strong sense of personal safety and security underlies every step we take in life."
- Natalie Southgate

Root chakra, Mūlādhāra is the chakra of stability, security, and our basic needs. The root chakra is comprised of whatever grounds you to stability in your life. This includes your basic needs such as food, water, shelter, safety, as well as your emotional needs of interconnection, and being fearless. Like the root system of a tree, our root or base chakra energetically grounds us in the physical world, including our own body.

So where as our King of Wands is our inner cheerleader, our own inner entrepreneurial leader, encouraging us to invest to multiply....

It feels like the 4 of pentacles is being our inner reason, maybe our doubter, the cautious nagging voice, that is concerned with lack and conserving what little resources we may have, maybe today appearing as the potential diminisher. On her earring we see the runic symbol othala (estate). In truth she has plenty, more than enough to share. Her eyes are closed and so she can not see her dreams realised ( clouds in the sky) .

Our final card today is the knight of Pentacles.
We see a young man who has journeyed. His horse behind him. In his wake are his many pentacles. He walks barefoot. He is grounded and pragmatic. He walks to the beat of his own drum, at his own steady but determined pace . He views his lands,he purveys his upcoming harvest, he has worked tirelessly and methodically to reach this point. He plants seed by seed. He knows how to provide for today and for the future with heartfelt belief and faith in his diligent , grounded approach.

How interesting..
Perhaps we are being presented with our own internal dilemmas?
The all guns blazing approach of the entrepreneurial King,
The thrifty cautious approach of the 4 of pentacles and the steady as you go, grounded , trustworthy step by step approach of the Knight.
Hmm what to choose ?
I guess we're being given a mirror of choice and balance.
Perhaps we can adopt the passion and vision of the king, the careful balance of the 4 of pentacles and the step by step plan of the knight?
