Today's storytelling.
Romancing the stone. And the song of the same name by Eddie Grant... now who remembers this one ? https://youtu.be/RGnfZfbsOu4 The lyrics are a beautiful seamless link to our red rose holding first card of today, the knight of cups. What a handsome young man in this picture, he sits on a chair on the beach, dressed in Jean's, t-shirt and canvas pumps ( strangely I'm wearing the same lace-ups myself today!) His left leg is outstretched forward and his right leg is bent underneath. He holds a hat over his left knee. In his right arm he holds an abundance of red roses. On his left arm he has an intricate sleeve tattoo with a heart on his upper arm. On the beach, to the side of him is a picnic blanket, with a basket containing grapes and wine. A singing bowl sits next to what could be a love letter. Behind him are faint Ray's of the sun and a horse ( dressed like a circus pony) can be seen, front left leg held up and bent. He really does wear his heart on his sleeve and will stop at nothing to grasp our attention. He is the true creative and heartfelt romantic, vulnerable yet putting his love out there regardless. He has an abundance of love to give. He would sweep us of our feet in a heartbeat. Yet maybe in the true light of day , has unrealistic expectations of the World. Perhaps he is showing us that as lovely as it may be to be free to fall in love with the outside World once more, it may be an unrealistic expectation right now. (sorry to disappoint) Our second card today is the 6 of pentacles. We see a hand above and a hand below, giving and receiving pentacles of different sizes. The infinity symbol weaves in between. The infinity symbol holds a deep meaning for spirituality, love, beauty, and power. The mysticism of our past and the possibility for an eternal future give the infinity symbol a sense of awe and wonder. In a world filled with distraction and complications, the infinity symbol represents a sense of simplicity and balance. It reminds us to be conscious of where we are and the endless possibilities we have before us. It is used to remind us of balance, focus, harmony, peace, and oneness. The angel number 6 is associated with the energies and vibrations of selflessness and unconditional love. The angel number 6 wants us to achieve harmony and balance in our life. Perhaps it is reminding us of the give and take of our situation. That we have to get to that fulcrum, that tipping point before we move forward. It has to be in universal balance. It suggests that we have an infinite future so there really is no rush. Our final card for today is The fool . Funnily enough I posted one of the gifs doing the rounds on Facebook today, which you screen shot to pick a major arcana card, numerous people picked the fool! The macro being reflected in the micro perchance? You will of heard me speak of my love of this archetype before. The call to adventure, the innocent explorer. We see a girl leaning back over a cliff edge holding an amethyst point in her outstretched hand. Amethyst is a natural tranquiliser, it relieves stress and strain, soothes irritability, balances mood swings, dispels anger, rage, fear and anxiety. It also alleviates sadness and grief, and dissolves negativity. Amethyst activates spiritual awareness, opens intuition and enhances these abilities. Her hair is blowing in the breeze and she has her eyes closed as she feels the rays of the sun on her face. She is carefree and confident, completely unaware of her vulnerability. She is full of potential, optimism and is as though she has just awakened to the world. A little like the lure of the knight of cups.... the call to adventure into the World on this bright sunny day may be highly seductive right now, yet a little wait in the breeze whilst we daydream and contemplate the next stage of our most, wonderfully magical and epic journey can be beautifully crafted and created in our minds eye now, in readiness for the upcoming expedition into the future. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful
