Today's storytelling.
Choices and the delicate balance. I noticed a post by a friend of mine this morning, it felt very apt for today's storytelling. The quote on the post (as seen below) "It's a delicate walk to balance hope with chaos" seemed to sit so well with today's cards. Followed by a medley of tunes from the universal comms team, from "enjoy the ride" to "magical mystery tour" I settled with the final one in the trio of tunes, which is the famous theme tune of the film by the same name,"chariots of fire" by Vangelis. The story; for those who have never seen this classic, is of two men, Harold Abrahams and Eric Liddell, and their race for the gold in the 1924 Olympics. While one runs for his faith, the other participates to leave prejudice behind. This made me think of choices and the delicate or difficult balance once again. https://youtu.be/8a-HfNE3EIo Which brings us onto our first card today, 7 The Chariot. Angel number 7 is related to inner wisdom, mysticism, intuition and inner strength. If we see this number, it means that we should have more faith in our guardian angels, but also in our own abilities. Our inner wisdom will help us make the right choices and make good decisions. The card shows us a vardo, a traditional horse-drawn wagon used by British Romanichal Travellers as their home. It is pulled by two horses, one black, one white. We can notice that there are no reins attached to the horses. On top of the vardo we see a young man crouching down, holding on with his right hand, whilst his left arm lies casually across his left thigh. He is shirtless ( maybe signifying a feeling of being exposed or vulnerable) The horses appear to be travelling at speed and to the road side we see water of a purple/ violet colour. An orange sky is behind the scene. We see a streak of sparkling light across the picture, almost like a veil. Perhaps we are shown choices that need to be made at high speed. There is a momentum that may make us feel out of control, yet if we have faith and trust that we will make the right choices and maintain that delicate balance, we will reach our destination safely and quickly. Our second card today is the 2 of swords. ( swords being the element of air, thoughts and the mind) Number 2 is usually associated to harmony, balance, consideration and love. When this number comes to us, it means that we should have more faith in our intuition. We should believe in energies that exist in the Universe, which will help us understand better, many things in our life. The card shows a woman blindfolded, trying to protect herself and find a way forward through two crows that appear to be attacking her . Behind her, on the ground we can see a dotted cross. On her forearm we see a symbol. Two triangle glyphs with each with a line through the top signifying transcendence and also the symbol of air, thoughts and the mind and two crossing flag type glyphs signifying comfort. Perhaps the birds are showing us the difficult and possibly opposing choices we have to make. If we can transcend our own mental torture ( the attacking crows) we can ultimately find comfort. The dotted cross suggests we are at a key crossroads. Whilst the card would give rise to a feeling of not knowing which route to take, of indecision, the glyphs perhaps suggest we should have trust and faith in our collective abilities and inner knowledge to discern and decide the correct path. Our final card for today is the 10 of swords. ( again swords being the element of air, thoughts and the mind) The angel number 10 is a message from our angels to stay positive and to trust in the power of our divine guides. It's a gentle reminder to keep our thoughts and emotions pure and positive. When we see the angel number 10, our angels are telling us that there will be a new beginning for us. The card depicts a woman, barefoot walking across a desert or sand dune perhaps. She is dressed in yellow and orange and yet the colours appear muted. She appears to be wandering and perhaps without direction. Yellow is the colour of the solar plexus chakra. In our scene the colour appears muted perhaps suggesting a blockage in this energy centre. If our solar plexus chakra is blocked we will experience symptoms such as difficulty in making decisions, low self-esteem, or even control or anger issues. And the orange is the colour of the sacral chakra. Again it appears muted. Blockage of sacral chakra manifests through general emotional instability or through feeling creatively uninspired, fearing change, or feeling depressed. Above her fly crows. In all cultures, crows are harbingers for change. They represent the deeper and powerful elements of nature. Perhaps she is showing us that with endings there are inevitably new beginnings. That if we can trust our inner guidance, we will chart the right course. It may feel difficult but as we see in the distance of the card .... a brighter horizon is coming. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful
