Today's storytelling.
Light bulb moments. Oh and a truly beautiful track for today ... The Lighthouse Family and Lifted. https://youtu.be/NNqDvr87GTA How perfect. Do have a little listen to the lyrics of this gorgeous song. It reminds me of a time when I was leading a project, whilst still in the corporate world many years ago. It places me in a specific time and place in my memory, I was driving home from wherever I had been visiting, passing the turn signposted for the Rolls Royce factory in Derby.... I love how music can do that... be a theme tune to your life at any given moment. Maybe " Lifted" is a bit of a backing track to our lives right now? Maybe this time allows us to reflect on how life has become, by illuminating those shadows we hadn't taken to time to shine a light on, so that we may be lifted to "bright new space up above the clouds". So our first card today is the page of swords (swords representative of the air element, mind and thought) The page is showing us the seeds of new thoughts and ideas. In the card we see a young woman walking a thin stick across a precipice. She is holding a book in her left hand and in her right hand are strung several light bulbs. Two kestrels are seen around her head. A swirl of energy moves around her as though she's in a whirl wind. The whole scene has a yellow hue. She is learning new information which she is translating into new ideas. The Kestrel belongs to the falcon family. As an animal totem the kestrel is associated with trying to understand life. They value movement and accuracy, because they are birds of prey. Maybe our page of swords is in a whirl of thoughts and ideas . Yellow is the colour of the third chakra, the solar plexus. It signifies personal power and fulfillment, abundance, courage and self-confidence. The colour Yellow has stood for wisdom and intellect throughout the ages. It aids logic, memory, concentration, will - power and communication. Yellow is full of creative and intellectual energy. Maybe this page appears today to urge us to use any restless energy to seek new understanding, learning and knowledge. To use this time to study and develop new skills, to work on new ideas and begin new projects in our life. Our second card today is the 8 of cups ( cups representative of the water element and feelings and emotions) Biblically, the number 8 is all about new beginnings. 8 is associated with wisdom and strength. The strength we have in our faith of divinity will enable us to understand that we are not alone. Cosmic energies are all around us to make us feel safe, loved, and cared for. The number 8 is also associated with Karma. Balance the activities and occurrences in our life, and all will be well. Which is a beautiful synchronicity with the meditation mantra my meditation challenge group are working with today....Om kriyam namah - My actions are aligned with cosmic law. That law being the law of karma. In the card we see a young woman walking away from a flaming singing bowl (cup) floating on a body of water. She walks towards the sun. She is walking away from an old reality into a new one. Letting go of old emotions and feeling to move towards something brighter and lighter. Perhaps she reminds us today that we have been learning what to let go of during this time, recognising what nourishes our soul and what is best left behind us as we walk towards the new world. Our final card today is the return of the 9 of cups. Her heart lifted as she jumps for joy. Having let go in the last card she is now free for her wishes to be fulfilled. She reminds us to practice the mantra, Om vardhanam namah - I am the nourisher of the Universe, the Universe nourishes me.The Law of giving. "For it is in the giving that we receive".St Francis of Assisi. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful
