Today's blog comes to you from Jon, giving me the opportunity to keep on working on my book, whilstI'm not blogging! Enjoy!
Consider this young lad, Kieran Gaffney, from Britain's got Talent. Look at what this kid brings for us to learn... 1. Last year he did not get through, he didn't give up, he didn't moan or adopt a failure mentality. What he did was to go back look through the audition and find the lesson, Do something different. So he re-applied this year involving his Mum and Dad to assist in his gameplan to succeed, Simon Cowell stopped the audition half way through, and criticised his parents for their lack of ability. Simon gave him an opportunity to come back at the end of the show and try on his own. Did he bottle it? ..... no, he looked within, he knew this was his moment, his time to step up to the plate and give it all he could to chase his dream............ he qualified, not only that, he was selected to go into the semi-finals as shown in the video above. Going on to achieve 2nd place to Spelbound (Who also showed unwavering passion, by training for hours and hours)all of this out of thousands of hopefuls! The lesson..... Never give up - Belief Lesson number two 2. If you love what you do, it shows...... Just look at the energy, enthusaism, excitement and focus he brings to this semi-final opportunity. Kieran knew this was his moment, as he said he he loved every second of the moment, the one moment that could shape the rest of his life, his big chance, his 15 minutes of fame. Did he go weak at the knee's? Did he cry off? ......no he showed up and gave it his all..... The lesson, make sure that every day off your life you are doing what you truly love to do, because everyone else can see it! - Faith So as you reflect and think about yourself and everyone you work with... Do you, do they bring this much passion, intensity, focus and energy to your/their life and your/ their workplace? .....or do you / they keep on doing the same old things, in thesame old ways? Do you/ they turn up for work because that what you / they did yesterday and the day before...? Imagine living a life and with the passion that Keiran does.... or a working envrionment where everyone puts in the performance of a lifetime, every day, every time, without fail, no exceptions... So, toady I'd urge you to consider: How can you ingnite that fire of passion within yourself and others today? Where are you simply just "Turning up" in life and in work, because that's whatyou did yesterday? What would need to change for you to really bring the passion, every day, every time, without fail, no exceptions? Until next time, Make every moment count! Jon x
