Today's storytelling. New direction. And the theme tune from the universal comms team... Kylie's "I'm spinning around". A random thought, I once heard she picked up those rather short, shirts in a charity shop for 50p... I don't know if that story is true... but it's pretty cool if it is... any way I digress. I think the lyrics are quite an apt metaphor to be fair: I'm spinning around Move outta my way I know you're feeling me 'Cause you like it like this I'm breaking it down I'm not the same I know you're feeling me 'Cause you like it like this "I got something to say I'm through with the past, ain't no point in looking back. The future will be and did I forget to mention, that I found a new direction and it leads back to me, yeah. The mistakes I've made have given me the strength,to really believe, that no matter how I take it, there's no way I'm gonna fake it 'Cause it's gotta be real. I've got nothing left to hide, no reason left to fight 'Cause the truth's given me a new freedom inside" This opportunity for introspection has perhaps given many of us a new direction. We may have realigned our personal goals and aspirations as a result of this experience. Realised what is truly important and what is not. So onto our first card of today, one that has appeared before, the 9 of cups (cups representative of water and emotions).Number 9 is the number of Universal love, eternity, faith, Universal Spiritual Laws, the concept of karma, spiritual enlightenment, spiritual awakening and service to humanity. It represents humanitarianism and the humanitarian, lightworking and lightworkers, leading by positive example, philanthropy and the philanthropist and charity. We see the woman leaping into the air , today a Christmas song comes to mind and more specifically the 10 lords a leaping. Which represents the 10 Commandments. Rather than take this literally, what jumps out to me ( excuse the pun) Is the idea of ....The kingdom of heavens is within you. Or as the Magician may suggest, as above, so below. In simple terms, I take this to translate to, we create our perception of any given situation and respond accordingly. As human beings we don't act in accordance with reality, we act in accordance with our perception of reality. We see in this card a woman who feels abundance, this joy can clearly be seen. She is perhaps choosing an attitude of gratitude for her many blessings. ( which are not necessarily wealth or finances).Perhaps she appears today to remind us to focus on our many blessings Our second card today is quite a contrast to the first. The 5 of cups. The number 5 is commonly referred to as the number of humanity.Human beings have five fingers, five toes, five appendages (if the head is included), five senses, and five major systems of the body. The number 5 is noted for independence, versatility, rebellion, and a daring nature. In the card we see a young woman, she is dressed in dark colours and the atmosphere is both dark, grey and yet behind her we see the turquoise skies of spiritual growth and change. She is deeply focused on what is being lost, not noticing on what gifts remain ( the other singing bowls, one even filled with bright colours). She gives a total contrast to the first card. She is the flip side perhaps? Where focus goes energy flow. Perhaps she provides us with a beautiful mirror. Are we focused on lack or grateful for our abundance? Our final card today is 21 The World. The end of the fools journey, before he returns changed, to begin the journey once more.In the holy texts 21 is a symbol of perfection and maturity. It symbolises the divine wisdom: “mirror of eternal light, which pierces and penetrates all grace in its purity”.In sacred texts this number is mentioned in relation to something that is considered extremely important. We see a laughing and smiling woman, dressed in rainbow colours ( total balance of the chakras) standing within a hoop. Behind her is the genesis pattern and other symbols of sacred geometry. The seed of life is formed from 7 circles through the genesis pattern. The genesis pattern is that of how God created earth in 6 days ( the 7th day being the day of rest). The first circle is not part of the 6 circles representing the days of creation, but rather represents consciousness. The world appears to show how we new levels of consciousness. We are awakening to the creation of a new world. We are perhaps being asked to reflect on where we are placing our attention ( between our first two cards) and the experience of each in moving us to greater wholeness. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful
