Today's storytelling.
New faces. Oh my life, the universal comms team are having such a giggle this morning! The song I was given was the theme tune to "New Faces" a 70's talent show, although it looks like the B movie equivalent of X factor or Britain's got talent these days, back in the day some very famous folk were discovered on the show. Such as Victoria Wood, Lenny Henry, The Chuckle brothers and Roy Chubby Brown, to name but a few. And so the theme tune " You're a star" is today's storytelling song. https://youtu.be/bYAOU5f5qTQ The lyric that really stands out for me is: "We got plans for you, you'd never dream" And... "You're a star, superstar On you go, it's your finest hour and I know that you'll go far 'Cause you're a star" If we were to imagine this was a song to each of us universally, I guess we are being shown that we are so much more than we could ever believe ourselves to be. That beyond our current restraints we have a World of limitless opportunities. Of course seeing our first card for today, the return of the 5 of swords (swords representative of the air element, thought and mind) we could be forgiven for thinking the universal comms team have lost the plot on the translation front. The angel number 5 is a message from our angels that huge changes are about to unfold in our life... 5 means that the changes have already started happening, or there are more to come in the next few days, or weeks. We see a guy who looks ; shall we say a little stressed and overwhelmed. A crow sits on his right shoulder squawking loudly. As if he needs attention bringing to his practical, financial or logical burdens !I kind of get the feeling he's at that place of " it's all gone Pete Tong" . He is dwelling on the metaphorical (and sadly in some cases literal) bloodshed. The worries about lack or loss are hanging heavy on his mind. The mountain may seem increasingly insurmountable right now. And yet we can see the shaft of light from the heavens beaming down in alignment with the mountain top. Just like a great big beacon.... and yet our chap is so deep in his own mental torment, deep down in the doldrums, that he is completely oblivious to it . Maybe this card appears today to remind us to focus on the lessons we are being presented with in terms of our alignment to our true purpose. We can dwell on what has been lost, or we can focus on a way into greater alignment. "When we look at the present through a rear view mirror. We march backwards into the future". Our next card is 17 The Star. Perhaps we need a little reassurance after our first card today, to bring us back into alignment with our true destiny .... and our tune for today! The number 17 is an auspicious number as it embodies the 'new' with manifesting good fortune and for us to remember to be grateful for all that the Universe provides. Angel Number 17 indicates that our angels want us to know that we are on the 'right path' on our life's journey. The Star (17) also pairs with Strength (8). She brings us hope and healing after a traumatic event (The Tower precedes The Star in the major arcana). We see a young woman, wistful , holding tight to her dreams of what is possible. She has renewed hope, she knows she is on the right path. That a lighter and brighter future is available for her. See how she focuses, head upturned towards the star. Perhaps we are being shown that we need to keep our attention on positive thoughts, dreams and hopes.Attention energises, intent transforms. Our final card for today is the 6 of cups (cups representative of the water element, feelings and emotions) The angel number 6 wants us to achieve harmony and balance in our life. Everything good will follow once we have a peaceful and stable life. It also represents family, home, domesticity, and parenthood. Many of us find ourselves at home with family. Children being home schooled, families being together, in many cases more than they ever have before. Despite our perceived sense of lack, we are gaining so much abundance in other ways, family, love, compassion and connection. Maybe this is the balance we are being asked to consider. In the card we see a Labrador puppy and a small boy, developing in the journey of life. Pictured alongside one another, they have become a wiser man and his loyal adult dog. Maybe it is the perfect time to truly understand unconditional love? (The likes of which we may receive from a Labrador) A dog cannot be deterred easily and is particularly drawn to humans who show service and loyalty generosity to others.Dog spirit always reminds us to maintain our integrity and faithfulness with all the gentle souls that share our life, both human and animal. This bit of animal medicine is true for our self too, we cannot be a good friend to others without having the same relationship with our self. A Dog totem symbolises the ability to devote oneself to a spiritual path or personal ethic no matter the situation. The dog reminds us that we can’t help and serve the World when our own mind, body, and spirit are energetically depleted. So over all today, our cards appear to be helping us to notice where our thoughts are focused, where we are in or out of alignment with our potential and to tend to our own balance of mind, body and spirit first, in order to be the best we can be for others. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful
