Today's storytelling.
Planting seeds for a later harvest. Which brings a song to mind... "Harvest for the World" by the Isley Brothers. https://youtu.be/4-v6gFWQYF4 A very apt song for today's storytelling, (maybe also an idea of timescale on our current situation) And then, upon turning over the king of cups, another absolute classic by Otis Reading , "Sitting on the dock of the bay" https://youtu.be/ISxskvJ9FwI came to mind. What a chilled out vibe to start us off today hey? But first we have a reappearance of the knight of swords, still in a hurry, thinking he's going to miss the boat ( or bike in this case). He appears to have a real urgency about him this morning. He's on a dusty track, not really a road that's be trodden before. It's a new unknown territory and he makes haste to jump into action and save the day . Now whilst Dominic Raab doesn't necessarily appear quite as our knight of swords, I can see a similarity here, of him jumping into the fray, speed is of the essence to move quickly to help his fellow team members and support us as a nation to steer to success, whilst Boris is incapacitated. He is no doubt, not the only one. There are many among us who are being called to spring into action in some way. Each of us has a part to play in "saving the day" so to speak. No matter if that is being on the front line as a key worker, being thrust into a leadership position in some way, or by leading the way in staying home. Our next card today brings us to the king of cups. ( another reappearance) he looks to be in a meditative space , going deep inside of himself as the waves of the sea ebb and flow. We see a fish in the foreground of the picture and also on his necklace. The fish spirit guide helps you to dig beneath the surface to concealed knowledge that is usually not seen. The fish is a symbol of what's obscure on your life. The Water Element connection gives Fish spirit the connotation of the subconscious, emotions, healing and purification. Perhaps the King of cups is suggesting we connect with those parts of ourselves we don't give space for in our usual hustle and bustle.Perhaps it's time to sit with ourselves, to meditate or pray as was suggested in the queens address to the nation and commonwealth. Maybe we can use this time to truly reflect on our lives and what's important to us going forward. Our final card for today is the 7 of pentacles. We see a man tending to the seeds he has planted, it is now the beginnings of a small tree. It bursts forth with foliage. We see its roots entwined and aplenty beneath the earth, where pentacles are also in an abundance, as though feeding the growth of the tree. He holds his left hand over the growing sapling and appears to be giving energy or reiki to the plant or tree. His eyes are closed in contemplation of gratitude. It is a pause to reflect on his journey and the growth that has been accomplished. The tree isn't yet fully grown, yet he knows the harvest will come. The full fruits of his labour are not yet realised, yet he knows that they will come, he stays true to his path. Perhaps this is a timely reminder of our situation. Whilst we are not yet fully seeing the results of our restrictions, small glimmers of hope are beginning to show that it may just be working. Maybe it's a reminder to stay steady and true to our endeavours. To stay home, protect the NHS and save lives. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful
