I realised this morning that it's been quite some time since I wrote a blog. As quite often happens in life, I got busy and my blog stood still for a short while. Not to say that I wasn't writing, as I have still been writing some daily messages and my book is going into production with O books as we speak. But I realised this morning... aptly being Valentine's day... that If I neglect writing in my blog then I'm not really taking the opportunity to share my love! Ok, I know that Valentines day is all about romantic love, but all love starts within ourselves don't you feel? In order to give love we have to already have love within us, in order to have it there to give. So just what is the love we hold within ourselves? When I ask this question of myself a list of "Self" words come tumbling forth... Self respect Self care Self appreciation Self nurture Self honour Self worth I'm sure you can add more to the list... In giving love to others the list may look very similar, but if we cannot firstly give this to ourselves, then we are much less able to give unto others, without depleting ourselves. As you may already know I offer guidance readings, many people come to me with questions about love and relationships... in truth almost every question involves love or relationships in someway, be the original question about work, finances or health... When you look a little deeper, any discord, be it dis-ease, and upset will come back down to Love and relationships, taken a step further it all comes down to the love of ourselves and relationship with ourselves. How can that be , you may be asking.... If we don't honour the relationship with ourselves, if we don't start with love for ourselves, then everything outside of us will in some way reflect that to us. If we have a great relationship with ourselves, if we have love for ourselves( see list of "Self" words above) we won't allow poor work relationships, financial hardship, or any other negative situation to dent or damage our primary relationship and love for ourselves... we simply won't give our power and energy away. So today I urge you to love yourself unconditionally, love yourself beyond all measure, celebrate the relationship you have with yourself.... Because then you are perfectly placed to share your love with those around you and not only that with the World. “To love oneself is the beginning of a life-long romance” Oscar Wilde Go on give yourself a big hug! With much love on Valentines day! until next time, Make every moment count! Lisa x
