Today's storytelling.
You spin me right round baby ! And today's song is of the same name , sung by the late Pete Burns of Dead or alive. https://youtu.be/fpmTe3TDdVU We could very much feel like we're going round in circles as we embark on a repeat of another period of 3 weeks at home. I don't know about you , I don't really know what day it is most days never mind how many weeks we've been home, I'm actually truly grateful for being at home safe and sound a while longer. Another of those going around again moments is presented with our first card this morning.... the lovely 10 of cups. Full of abundance, love, family, friends and connection. The bass clef in the card, brings to mind the word 'harmony' and 'resonance'. This feels like we are being asked to sit a while longer with creating a more harmony and resonance within and without ( after all in truth it's all an inside job, projected outward) . A state of oneness. Another moment of let's go round again, I know, it's becoming a bit of a theme today .... (is it groundhog day by any chance? ) is yet another appearance of the 9 of pentacles (pentacles representative of the earth element and manifestation).Today I notice that she's paying attention to a smaller orange mandala ( pentacle) the one the bird has drawn attention to. Orange is the colour of the sacral chakra.Svadhishthana or the sacral chakra, is the second primary chakra. This chakra is said to be blocked by fear, especially the fear of death. It's not too surprising that this might show up with the current world challenge I guess, yet we're not just talking literal death here... we're talking of the death of old ways of being, old beliefs about ourselves and the world and how things 'should' be. The sacral chakra is associated with the emotional body, sensuality and creativity. Its element is water and as such, its energy is characterised by flow and flexibility. ( more about flow with our final card today). The function of the sacral chakra is directed by the principle of pleasure. The energy of this chakra allows us to let go, to move and to feel change and transformation occurring within our body.... and as we know, what happens on the inside is experienced on the outside. It allows us to experience this moment as it is, in its own fullness. The main challenge for the second chakra is the conditioning of our society. Until now, we have perhaps lived in a society where feelings are not valued, where passion and emotional reactions are frowned upon. We are taught not to "loose control". And we have possibly disconnected from our bodies and our feelings. Isn't it interesting, that we have seen so much evidence of the shifts here? The outpouring of love for the NHS and front line workers in all sectors. The amazing support for Captain Tom and his fundraising efforts, even from our political leaders messages. Perhaps this is jumping out today to remind us to keep going with this energy... to connect even more deeply with this energy centre in order to fully manifest the harmony and resonance of our first card. Our final card for today is 10 The Wheel ( the wheel of fortune) Angel number 10 is a reminder that our true nature is as both a physical and spiritual being. We may have come into our life believing that the material aspect of life is all that matters.Angel number 10 serves as an uncanny reminder that we are not alone on this journey. We have spiritual assistance available to us at all times. The number 10 is actually the rebirth of number 1. However, now, 1 is no longer standing alone. In the card we see a woman, wind blowing through her hair, standing on her right leg, in total balance. She is on top of a wheel or disc, which is supported by a series of wheels or discs that have gone before. Reminding us that all in life is cyclical. Around her neck is strung two dice, showing 6 and 4 (10) In the centre of the wheel there it is subdivided into eight sections. We see the letters spelling out TARO or TORA. The first being the old name for tarot and the second signifying the Torah the Jewish manuscript of instruction. We see clouds representative of dreams and higher power. We see wisps of black and white behind her.And in a faint mandala of white we see the symbols of the elements. The wheel is the card of destiny, fate, moving through karmic lessons. A turning point, through chaos into creation for the next cycle, or turn of the wheel. It represents cycles, the underlying structure of the world, the universe and our interconnection with everything. It tells us that we are subject to the whims of fate but at the same time, it shows us that we do have some control, even if that control is limited to our own thoughts. Look how blissfully happy and joyful she looks. She has found the point of balance through this change. She spun the wheel, threw her dice and won! Perhaps today we are asked to flow with the change, grasp the abundant opportunity to find our own harmony and resonance, to connect with our true essence as a human spirit ( see what i did there) to truly tap into our pleasures and passion. To feel life, be life... not just do and get through life.... as we may have before. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful
