3rd June 2020... Memory lane

Today's storytelling.

Which is interesting, as we have lots of Astrological influences taking us back over old ground right now.
I even woke from a dream this morning that made me think about setting up a "zoom reunion" with some old work colleagues.
I was also racking my brains just now, trying to remember a song from the early 80s.
So when our first card out today happened to be the 6 of cups (cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions)
I just had to smile 😃
Such a wonderfully nostalgic card. Old memories, old friendships resurfacing, going back to our past , yet weaving that through to who we're becoming in our future too.
We are the sum total of all of our experiences to date. Good and bad, they have made us into the miraculous being we are right now and inform who we are becoming.
The same could be said of our current global experiences. It raises some questions to ponder I guess.... what have we learned and what do we still need to learn ?
We are being given the gift of hindsight here in this card. So that we may move forward with the wisdom it now brings us.
Our second card today is the knight of swords (swords representative of the air element and of thought and intellect)
I'm strangely drawn to his bottom ( oh dear I dread to think where this is going ) ... it looks like he's ripped his trousers 👖. ( shorts in this case) enter memory of doing the same myself whilst delivering training in Birmingham in my late 20s ... I had to tie my cardi around my waist to hide my embarrassment 🤦
I guess its a metaphor for looking back over our life and being red faced about some of our antics... funnily enough another synchronicity, a friend WhatsApp'd me an old photo of her on a look a like business website , to which she mentioned how embarrassing it was....
Well our knight is in a rush to distance himself from the thought, to get away from that historic part of his journey as quickly as possible.
I guess, as a collective we could be eager to get away from many aspects of our history as humans.
And yet with recent events, such as the virus and events in America, maybe its time to turn and face our lessons head on, to take stock and adjust of forward trajectory accordingly.
There's no need to be harsh on ourselves, we can look on the past as an observer, with kindness and compassion, enabling us to move forward with those learnings as we face the future.
Our final card for today is the knight of cups ( cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions) and with it I will share that blummin song that was so evasive earlier, that is until I enlisted help from my old school buddies...

With all this reminiscing we could look back with our rose tinted specs ( see what happened there... 🌹 tinted, the universe even surprises me you know, as I never know what I'm going to type until I type it).
Yet in truth ... I feel our romantic knight is saying now and ahead from here have the recipe of being the best years of our lives. He brings us hope 🙏 for a blossoming future.... if we can learn our lessons and make the changes necessary.
