Today's storytelling.
Faster than light. And the universal comms team took me on a bit of a journey to get to today's song. At first I thought it was 'extraordinary world'... but there wasn't a song of that name, just Duran Duran's 'Ordinary world' which just didn't feel right, as I looked at that ' faster than light' popped up, a song I don't even remember by Duran Duran. https://youtu.be/Onaf4k3eJ0M What did strike me was the symbolism on the album cover. An abstract depiction of two triangles (or pyramids) and a eye. It made me think of the 'Eye of Providence'. The Eye of Providence, (or the all-seeing eye of God) is a symbol, used in various religions and other institutions, think American seal or dollar bill for example. It depicts an eye, often enclosed by a triangle and surrounded by rays of light, or glory, meant to represent the concept of divine providence, whereby the eye of God/ creator/ universe (insert your own preference here) watches over humanity. The light represents spiritual illumination. The eye corresponds with the motto, "Annuit Coeptis," meaning "he approves of this undertaking." The second motto, " Novus ordo seclorum," literally means "a new order of the ages" Back to the Duran Duran album cover and the two triangles also suggest the symbols for air and earth.... making me think of the magician... and of Hermes Trismegistus' "As above, so below" a motto associated with sacred geometry, Hermeticism, and the Tarot. Blimey, the universal comms team have got me busy researching already today ! We best get onto our cards for today and see where this theme is taking us .... First up today is 3 The Empress. The great mother, a symbol of unification of mind, body and spirit. I notice that she is heavily influenced by the full moon ( we had a full moon and lunar eclipse on friday) the energy is beaming down and surrounding the earth. You may want to take a listen to Pam Gregory to understand a little more about it.. https://youtu.be/CQ3lVXC5XdA I'm also drawn to her thorny bracelet on her left wrist. It makes me think of the thorn necklace in the artist Frida Kahlo's self portrait.... Funny, I've been very drawn to printed skirts and dresses of her art in this past week ! ( the signs and symbols are always there if we notice them) The thorn necklace possibly alluding to Christ's crown of thorns, thus likening herself to a martyr and representing the pain and anguish she felt after failed relationships. In the potrait she surrounds herself with butterflies and dragonflies perhsps symbolising her resurrection, or rebirth. Blimey, it would seem the universal comms team really are working hard to get me reading and researching for sure ! On to our second card for today, a quick return of the knight of swords ( swords representative of the air element and of thought and intellect) Only he's appearing to up the ante....speeding things up .... faster than light you might say ;) Ha ha , I'm reminded of a great clip I show during time management training sessions ( yes I do serious business development too) .... its a short clip from 'Love Lucy' about the packing room .... https://youtu.be/WmAwcMNxGqM I guess the message here is simple and straightforward, "speed it up". Our knight needs to get a wriggle on, he can't slow down . He has to keep focused. Our final card today is the page of cups ( cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions) The phrase that comes to mind is " think out of the box" I know, I know ... what a cliché. Simply put it's an expression that describes nonconformal, creative thinking. Old ways of being or doing is just that ... old. Compared with 'think inside the box'... to think in traditional fashion, bound by old, nonfunctional, or limiting structures, rules, or practices. We are given the suggestion that we won't come up with good ideas if we think only inside the 'old' box. Time to upgrade our ideas it would seem.... and do you notice what I notice? .... it's mainly coming from his heart rather than his head. I guess it's saying that no idea is a bad idea if it's heartfelt. Overall today then we are being heavily influenced by bigger energy at play, a time of rebirth, renewal and the speed of change is upon us. As we embark on stepping out into the World, we need to think with our heart and with compassion towards our fellow travellers. What we think, feel and action now will manifest our collective future. "Nothing is nearer to us than heaven. The earth is beneath our feet, and we tread upon it, but heaven is within us". - Nikos Kazantzakis #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful
