Today's storytelling.
Awakening the heart.
I actually smiled to myself with this morning's song that came with the cards.

For a moment I thought, oh blimey I cant include that, readers will think I'm going to talk about alien visitations .... I'm not by the way.... well I dont think so as I type as I storytell.
The very next cosmic fax ( see what I did there ? ;) ) was the song Star trekking, by The firm .... honestly you couldn't make it up !

I think the universal comms team are having a bit of a laugh with me today. ( well I am wearing flamingos, what can I tell you).
So onto our first card of the day , the ace of cups. We see a woman, wearing a blue vest top, holding a bowl (cup) with both of her palms facing one another , in the centre of which is a heart. She holds it in front of her chest in the area of the heart chakra and a rainbow of colours swirls around it and rays of light emanate from its centre. Water overflows to the bottom rim of the cup.

Behind her it is dark, in front of her it is full of this rainbow of light.

Her cup is full to overflowing with the energy of unconditional love, it is as though her heart has fully awakened and she can communicate this out into the world.
Perhaps we are moving beyond the dark into the light, with more compassion, connection, love and an awakening to what we truly love and care for.
Our next card today is the 7 of wands. We see a woman sitting on a large cushion, partly in the lotus pose.
The Lotus Pose is a frequent pose for meditation and pranayama, or breathing exercises. Breath is the purifying power in the human body; deep, slow breathing purifies and energizes our bodies.

Her hands are in the prayer position, as would accompany the greeting Namaste.
One translation of Namaste would be :
"My soul honours your soul. I honour the place in you where the entire Universe resides. I honour the light, love, truth, beauty and peace within you, because it is also within me. In sharing these things we are united, we are the same, we are one."
We saw Prince Charles adopting this heartfelt greeting to replace handshaking more recently.
Her head faces over her right shoulder perhaps considering a physical, practical and financial burdens, or maybe she is contemplating the past.
A sun shines over her solar plexus chakra.
The solar plexus chakra helps grow our confidence and vitality. This empowers us to follow our true path and create the life we want.
When balanced, the solar plexus chakra allows us to seize our personal power, develop our authentic self, and take responsibility for our life.
Behind her is a dream like scene of pink and orange colours, she is in a bubble of loving energy.
Below her we see seven brightly coloured sticks, pointing at her, yet she disregards them.
She is centred and grounded, whilst the outside world may seek to challenge her, still she shines.
Perhaps we are being asked to sit steady in the eye of the storm, to shine regardless. To shine our individual light out into the world no matter what others may say. After all when we shine, we give others permission to shine too.
Our final card for today is the star 17 in the major arcana, which couples with the 8th card of strength.
We see a young woman dressed in a beautiful multicoloured dress, sitting on the ground. She holds a illuminated thread or string, as though holding onto a kite, yet when we follow the thread we see it connects to the brightest star in our galaxy, the sun.
Above her we see the whole of the galaxy, it could even appear as a space ship ( oops, I said I wouldn't mention that... too late !) I wonder what our galactic neighbours would say about our World right now? ... sorry I digress... just a fleeting thought.

Perhaps this card is signifying being a part of something much bigger than just ourselves. The colours of the violet sky is awash with stars.
Violet governs the crown chakra, at the top of the head. ( funnily enough "corona" means crown)
Violet offers and inner sense of wholeness. With wholeness comes a sense of ending, completion of a process, and a promise of something new, illumination, rebirth.

This seems to be a repeating theme.
