Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next secret weapon. A happiness weapon. A beauty bomb. And every time a crisis developed, we would launch one. It would explode high in the air - explode softly - and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the air. Floating down to earth - boxes of Crayolas. And we wouldn't go cheap, either - not little boxes of eight. Boxes of sixty-four, with the sharpener built right in. With silver and gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest. And people would smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world with imagination. ~Robert Fulghum
I saw this quote this morning and it really made me smile! What is it about a new pack of crayons that can turn even the most serious of adults into a excited imaginative child? When was the last time you did some "Colouring in"? Oh what joy.... now are you a "Colour inside the lines" or a "Colour outside the lines" type of person? ...and more to the pint what does that tell you about you? I really urge you to go out today and get a box of crayons and a colouring book, or even a blank piece of paper and just express! There's a very cathartic and healing energy to colouring, its that connection with the child within, without fear or constraint... just a whole juicy expanse of opportunity, empty space to be filled full to the brim with imaginative impulses. But it doesn't stop there.... take a look at what you're wearing today... Anyone in grey??? ( stuck are we ? feeling a little stagnant?) Colour infuses us with its energy, in fact every colour has its own frequency, stimulating a response in every cell of our body... so the colours you wear and the colours you're drawn to wear can have such impact and meaning. Think of how you associate with certain colours...... Lets take GREEN Maybe you think of "Green for go" or Green for Spring and new growth? Here's some more associations for GREEN: Green is a heart chakra colour Green is a healing colour Green is life. Abundant in nature, green signifies growth, renewal, health, and environment. On the flip side, green is jealousy or envy (green-eyed monster) and inexperience. Now can you see how much colour can influence our lives? Everything is made up of electromagnetic energy vibrating at different frequencies that correspond to sound, light and colour. We are drawn to the colours we need to create balance in our lives. Colours attract ... certain clothing and accessories, colours in our homes, and even the foods we eat. Colours are frequency wavelengths that we connect with. The interpretation of colour in our lives can be amazing in identifying our areas of strength and our areas for growth. Life is about using the whole box of crayons. ~RuPaul So I urge you to be aware of colour around you today... connect with it and note your thoughts and feelings as you do so... So go ahead get our your box of crayons...... allow the colour to flow from you .........just imagine, dream and create! Give crayons. Adults are disturbingly impoverished of these magical dream sticks. ~Dr SunWolf If you would like to understand more about colour in your life, look out for a new workshop from Get aLife! coming very soon! Until next time, Make every moment count, Lisa xx
