Today's storytelling.
Crazy days and nights. So the universal comms team gave me another smile with today's musical accompaniment... the mighty Kiss with " Crazy nights" https://youtu.be/tnhjw9vmABo I don't even question it now, I just go with what I'm given... no matter how obscure! The lyrics that jump out... "That's alright, we're millions strong" ( we're all in this together) And... "Sometimes days are so hard to survive, oh yeah" "You're wound up tight, gotta let off steam"... All of which seem to relate to our current situation. Yet we're staying strong, as her Majesty herself has said... we'll meet again! Thankfully, in the main, despite the sunshine, people are staying home, even though it may feel like crazy days and nights right now. So onto our cards for today. The 9 of pentacles makes another appearance. Today though I see her focusing on one of the smaller mandalas ( pentacles) counting even the smallest of blessings. Often in traditional interpretation of the cards, pentacles are likened to coins or money and today the phrase " take care of the penny's and the pounds will look after themselves " comes to mind. So perhaps a strong message today to focus on one small thing that is a blessing or an abundance to be celebrated and conserved. Our second card today is the 5 of swords. We see a man with eyes closed, holding his left hand to his head as though in pain ( possibly emotional turmoil) on his right shoulder sits a crow calling out. The Crow represents a gathering of people coming together for one purpose. Perhaps a repeat of the first line of the Kiss lyrics. The ancient addage a family that feeds together stays together is proven with this bird (perhaps a synchronicity with families staying home) With it's five wing feathers prominently on show in flight the power of 5 comes into it's own. A possible interpretation could be Earth, Wind, Fire, Water and "YOU". 5 also translates to freedom and change. ( there's a theme unfolding... please read on ) The appearance of the crow means a sharing of wisdom, these are messengers and bringers of change, it's dark colours mean it brings messages and clues from this world. They are able to mimic and with a superior intelligence they are able to survive in the harshest of conditions, cunning and clever. We see several crows flying in the sky and in the background a man stands on top of a mountain. There are streaks of red on the ascent to the top of the mountain. Perhaps suggesting that success isn't without sacrifice. A vertical shaft of light can be seen on the right of the card, the Earth in alignment with the heavens. Perhaps this is showing us that this is not a sprint to the winning line, that there will need to be sacrifice, (perhaps our own liberty and freedom) that we may take steps forward and then back to reach the alignment to the new world. Yet these lessons move us ahead, always. That there will be days when we are in acceptance of this and there will be days when we feel the mental and emotional weight upon us, yet staying strong to the cause will ultimately bring us salvation. Our final card today is The tower. We see a tree being struck by lightning. A squirrel looks up perhaps shocked and surprised. His gathering of nuts beside him seem to be disintegrating. The squirrel’s most famous habit is its tendency to hide nuts “for future use”. Their propensity to hide acorns is a lesson in being prepared. Did you know though, that the squirrel only finds around 1 in 10 of the nuts that it hides? ( why does toilet rolls, soap and pasta spring to mind ? ) Some sources even say that most of the oak trees in the wild are the result of the squirrel’s failure to find most of the nuts he hides. The squirrel challenges us to observe, to see the deeper meaning in all things. It is much like the acorn it hides it may be small now, but left alone it will become a strong, sturdy oak. ( a little like the message from the 9 of pentacles) Around the tree trunk we see 4 tan coloured butterflies. Butterflies are deep and powerful representations of life. Many cultures associate the butterfly with our souls. The Christian religion sees the butterfly as a symbol of resurrection. Around the world, people view the butterfly as representing endurance, change, hope, and life. A tan coloured butterfly symbolides a new life or a fresh start. The Tower gives us sudden and unexpected change, change thrust upon us without warning. It is the lightning strike of enlightenment. The falling away of the structures that we knew, to make way for a new way of being. Making way to create from a new spark so to speak. The Tower (16) twins with 7 The Chariot , which brings us one heck of a ride. We can see this as an enlightening and invigorating or out of control. It's all a matter of perspective. "If I could define enlightenment briefly I would say it is the quiet acceptance of what is." - Wayne Dyer #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful
