Today's storytelling.
Hold on tight to your dreams. As I laid out the cards this morning, the ELO classic , "Hold on tight to your dream" came to mind. https://youtu.be/mdjTaagP1rE In this time of uncertainty and shifting tides, we may feel as though we are practicing a fragile balancing act. We may feel like our dreams are slipping from our grasp. In our first card today the page of pentacles, we see a young woman in her hoody, sweat pants and trainers, carefully balancing on her right leg ( the practical, logical financial, masculine side of her body), whilst her left leg is bent , (the feminine, emotional, spiritual, creative and imaginative). This leg is ungrounded, not firmly placed upon the Earth. She holds a colourful mandala and stands upon a mandala too. She is surrounded by and dressed in earthy colours. A thread winds around her hand, down her leg and around her foot. This suggests that she still has her dreams, and is beginning to earth them into manifestation. Whilst balancing both the material and emotional needs. She stands strong. In our second card , the hanged man, we see a woman hanging on a silk upside down, she is wearing lime green trousers (new will) and a grey top (stuckness), a bright light shines below her, bright ideas perhaps ? We can see a swirl of runic symbols swirl below her. There appears to be a gift for mankind in this "thorn" in the symbols shown. She reaches down her arm and holds tight to her foot with the other. Holding herself in a unusual position, with a new viewpoint in this upside down World she inhabits. In the top corner we see a faint 11 in a circle. The master number 11 brings higher intuition and spiritual insight, supernatural abilities, increased sensitivity, as well as empathy and natural intelligence. The number eleven is a sign of enormous power – both mental and physical. This appears to be an intentional pause, surrendering to what is right now, letting go of resistance, in order to be born anew. The hanged man 12 pairs with The empress 3 ( 1+2 = 3) it is as though the empress is connected to the hanged man just like the umbilical chord from mother to child. This is the pause before birth. As we know birth giving can be a painful yet ultimately rewarding process. This is a time of realignment, of soul searching towards a more heartfelt purpose. In our final card today, the 4 of wands, we see women dancing and flowing with energy. One holds a tamberine, moving to the beat of her own song. In the background we see a circular tent , with festival flags and 4 flames in top of wooden stakes. There is a beautiful blanket of stars in the heavens above and it feels as though a celebration is unfolding. After the building of new foundations, there is a feeling of greater connection, of loving community, of joyful energy. I posted earlier that as most of us will be staying "in, in" on this Saturday night. It made me recall the Wigfield song and accompanying dance from 1994 "Saturday night" . I wonder could this be our clue to connection today? We may be physically distanced, yet thanks to technology, we can dance and sing together. My friend Gregg in Spain has been inviting his friends across the globe to dance and move and shake through any stuck energy on a daily basis. It's up to us now. We just have to find a new creative way of doing that. https://youtu.be/8DNQRtmIMxk #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful
