Interview with Dr Eric Pearl - Hay House "I can do it" London 2015

I was blessed yesterday to attend the Hay House "I can do it" event in London, where I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr Eric Pearl.             ( Pictured left alongside myself and the fabulous Sunita Passi, who interviewed Dr Pearl alongside me)

Eric is the man behind "Reconnective Healing" and the author of  "The Reconnection" and "Solomon speaks" which he co-authored with Frederick Ponzlov.

Having recently read "The Reconnection" I was intrigued by this new
healing approach (well at least fairly new in the grand scheme of ancient energy healing techniques) , that is completely without technique and ritual that many of us have come to know and practice in other energy healing modalities.

Let's start with a little background:

Eric Pearl had no ordinary entry into the World. His mother described his birth as "Unusual", when she said unusual what that actually meant was she died whilst in labour with Eric.

An experience detailed in "The Reconnection" , of course the fact that she is able to recount the experience tells you  that she did in fact live to share her story. The dying in labour; whilst a dramatic story in itself, was not  however the "Unusual" part of the experience.

It was the experience that Eric's mother had after death and in between returning to life that was to become perhaps a pertinent point at the start of a journey that would lead Eric to be where he is today.

Throughout childhood Eric did experience what some would call unusual experiences with energy, for example by holding broken watches they would once again start ticking. ( quite the opposite to many energy healers who manage to create havoc with all things digital and electrical, myself included)

In his school years he didn't really fit so well with the traditional teaching methods, not unusual for a teenage boy, he struggled to apply himself until he found something that truly interested him. Which he did later on in his chosen route of study to become a Chiropractor..... and a very successful one at that. Building himself an abundant practice .

But the universe had other plans.....

Eric's World changed overnight. His gift was truly awakened.
As Eric himself says “One day I was a chiropractor and the next day I was something else,”  Overnight, Eric had found the ability to connect with energy and work with it to heal people. No ritual, no technique as such, it just happened. For sometime Eric worked with his clients, not really understanding what had changed, but certainly seeing and experiencing miraculous results for his clients.

He worked with the energy to develop what is now known worldwide as Reconnective Healing.

The Hay house event:

Eric is certainly a striking figure as he enters the stage, Think LA, think glitz and glamour. Eric certainly has a a style and theatrical quirkiness about him ( which happens to appeal to me , after all why be ordinary when you can be extraordinary?). I saw that Rachel Elnaugh and Ruqayya Daville of Source TV called Eric "One sexy man ......The Elvis of Healing" in their interview  ( the lovely American lady Shauna sitting next to me at the event , tells me that the LA style doesn't always translate well for us Brits)

Eric open's with a moving story of being called to the hospital bedside of a very sick lady by her medical consultant. Her husband sitting alongside her,  Eric arrives and she's sleeping,  he doesn't wake her but simply commences the healing. Immediately she awakens and starts chatting and laughing, herself and her husband sharing stories. ( silence is not required for Reconnective Healing)

The lady in question asks for ice cream and cheesecake from her favourite store and her husband quickly obliges to go get the desired foods. At which point as soon as he leaves the room, the colour drains from her face, muscle tone diminishes and she says to Eric... I'm going to go now.

Eric of course says " No you're not!" this batting back and forth of conversation carries on just long enough for her husband to return, at which point her colour returns and so does her smile.

Eric leaves to go home. He receives a call the next morning to say that the lady has passed.

But he'd done a healing you may say... that's not how you expected this story to end, right?

The truth of this case was that the lady had up until the healing been in a coma for 3 months, with her husband sitting by her bedside for nearly every hour of the day and night. The lady hadn't just awoken from sleep when the healing commenced. She had awoken from a coma.

The healing had facilitated the opportunity for her to share her last happy memories and goodbyes with her husband.

As Eric says....
"Sometimes healing doesn't come in the way we anticipate. Sometimes it comes in a far more powerful form"

"Healing is about the process not being attached to an outcome or results".

Eric goes on to say " There's no such thing as a physical healing, just by itself, there is healing at all levels, mind, body, spirit, emotions....and more than that Reconnective healing accelerates you onto your life course".

He also carried out a demonstration of a healing, with a woman who had restricted movement in her shoulder, enlisting the help of a woman who had been dragged to the event by her friend and in her own words thought it was all a load of rubbish ( I think the expletive may have been a little stronger to be fair) and for sure the ladies left the stage far more open to to possibilities that Reconnective Healing may give.

I'm impressed and a little surprised at the science included in both the book and the presentation. It seems to add credibility to this healing approach. Eric explaining the links with what science now believes to be true with regard to current understanding of time and space, string theory and the strands of our DNA. All mind blowing and fascinating stuff.

One of the key questions I asked Eric was "What would you have me say, what would you have me share about your work that hasn't already been said?"

And he said, "Share what your felt, what you saw, what the people around you felt and saw".

I hope this blog has given you a flavour of my experience and maybe that of others.

What I can say, is in the quiet of a small room, with just myself, Eric and Sunita, when you are sitting face to face, eye to eye with him .....you can clearly see the genuine emotion and true passion that Eric has for the work that he is doing and his desire to share this healing approach with us all and in doing so raise the consciousness of the people on our planet right now.

It is a vocation, a true calling for Eric.
