"Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious". ~ Stephen Hawking. As some of you may know I often pop along to BBC Radio Lincolnshire to review the morning papers. I always seek to share up lifting stories from the daily press. My last visit to Scott and Carla ( the shows hosts) was no exception. I found a lovely little piece about looking up to the sky, stargazing uplifting ones heart and spirit. I guess by contemplating the infinity of space we realise how insignificant our troubles truly are in comparison, that we are a mere speck of dust in time in the stars and galaxies above us. I find the concept mind blowing, just how huge the universe is .... is well simply beyond my comprehension. It would be so easy to believe that we're so tiny that we're somehow not a part of it, but of course that simply isn't true. Quoted from Physics.org: We are all made of stardust. It sounds like a line from a poem, but there is some solid science behind this statement too: almost every element on Earth was formed at the heart of a star. Next time you’re out gazing at stars twinkling in the night sky, spare a thought for the tumultuous reactions they play host to. It’s easy to forget that stars owe their light to the energy released by nuclear fusion reactions at their cores. These are the very same reactions which created chemical elements like carbon or iron - the building blocks which make up the world around us. We're not separate from the stars we are a part of them! The ancient civilizations certainly knew this . Quoted from About.com: There are clues hidden in the archaeological findings of pre-history that show that the heavens inspired and shaped the beliefs of the earliest civilizations. The first peoples saw that the Moon was linked to the tides and to women’s monthly cycles. Later they observed a belt of fixed stars (constellations), along with five prominent ones (planets) that had their own irregular movements.Gradually, the early sky gazers noticed patterns, and began associating them with events happening around them. "Astrology is a language. If you understand this language the sky speaks to you". ~ Dane Rudhyar I'm curious to know how the stars shine for me and for you. So who better to ask than Lisa Gates official Astrologer to Her Grace the Duchess of Rutland. Lisa is an award winning Spiritual Counsellor, Astrologer and Healer working with celebrity and internationally known high profile clients as well as people more locally within her own community in the East Midlands. As an Astrology Consultant Lisa looks at a persons (or an entity - like a business) chart for many reasons. It may be to help a client to recognise their strengths and to help them to overcome challenges; to provide insight into their life issues; to highlight patterns of growth and self development; to suggest the life purpose and help with karmic integration; to explore the meaning of a particular experience or phase of life, or to provide guidance as to timing or decisions with regard to a particular course of action. Lisa is a contemporary Astrologer and uses Asteroids, Trans Neptunian Objects and Fixed Stars as well as the traditional local Planetary methods of Astrology, to interpret Natal, Forecasting, Relationship and Relocational Astrology. Having consulted Lisa recently for both an "Awakening chart" based upon Egyptian Fixed Star and Karmic Astrology these individual reports describe your ultimate opportunities for growth and success in this life and a "Personal forecast" mapping out the twelve months ahead, I find myself absolutely wowed by the detail and accuracy of the information that Lisa shares. Even down to times and dates that transits and their effect come into play. Clearly Lisa is an expert in her field and this is nothing like reading your horoscope in the daily newspaper. This is life changing and life affirming stuff, that I cannot recommend highly enough. Working with Lisa has allowed me to really harness the energy of the universe in my choices and decision making. Astrology is also a powerful tool in business. Did you know the Biggest Corporations use astrology to launch new products or know when to advertise? J.P. Morgan once famously said that millionaires don’t need astrologers, but billionaires do. J.P. Morgan thought there was more to the market than timing, and he used astrologers to help guide him in that timing in his businesses and investments. Its true, astrology can improve your Profits. Business Astrology gives you an advantage over your rivals because you will know when to be prepared for the challenges ahead or when to maximise the taking of opportunities. Businesses are seen as entities in themselves in Astrology, and therefore a chart is plotted based on the business incorporation date or the start of trading. Sometimes the owner or directors charts can be analysed in parallel to analyse their key input to a business forecast. Areas that can be investigated:
Back in Ancient Times all the monarchs were trained in basic astrology and kept court astrologists to tell them what to expect, how best to plan, and who best to work with on mutual goals. Even wars were planned out using astrology! I don't know about you but if JP Morgan and Einstein were supporters of the magical art of stargazing then I'd be crazy not to want to understand the story of my life written as in the stars. So I leave you today with some stargazing......I urge you this evening to look up and experience the vastness and limitlessness of the universe......... we may only be here for what may seem like a millisecond in time and space, yet we are a part of something much, much bigger than we can ever understand. We are all connected , you, me and the stars - In our being here we touch each others lives in this wonderfully weaved blanket of sparkling lights that is our galaxy.
