Today's storytelling.
Tiptoe. Oh boy, what a track from the universal comms team... I've literally been dancing around the room to this one. Jason Derulo and "Tip Toe" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNA9ru2Ox5o So as the lyrics suggest.... Hold tight whilst we tip toe through the cards today... So our first card today is 10 The Wheel, our first tip toe reference from the cards... we see a woman standing on top of the wheel, balancing on her tiptoe, she's striking that balance. There feels to be an energy propelling her forward from the spiraling wheels below. The Spiral is a sacred symbol that represents the journey and change of life as it unfolds; taking a labyrinth-like passage that leads to Source. The spiral symbol can represent the consciousness of nature beginning from its center expanding outwardly. We also see that she is above the clouds, below there are darker storm clouds, yet she is emerging above the lighter, brighter clouds. White clouds represent stability, inner consciousness and goals in our life. grey clouds represent bad times or difficulties that we may have been going through in our life. The clouds also remind us that the world above and the world below actually make up one world. Clouds can help us examine our lives from a higher perspective. Clouds are also symbols of change. As we know clouds constantly come and go and they tend to move fast, so they are a symbol of something that is transitory and short-lived. A reminder that in the grand scheme of life, what we are experiencing now, regardless of if we deem it good or bad, is transitory. It reminds me of a quote that my good friend John uses in our Mindful Leaders training workshops about mindfulness : “Simply being aware of what is happening right now without wishing it were different; enjoying the pleasant without holding on when it changes (which it will); being with the unpleasant without fearing it will always be this way (which it won’t).” – James Baraz A reminder that life is moving forward regardless, so we may as well learn from and appreciate the gift in every moment. Our second card today is 3 The Empress. She is ready to give birth to the new world. As with any gestation, as the birthing process approaches, it may feel like it's been a long journey, carrying the growing new life, it can be tiring, exhausting and the mother may become impatient for the imminent arrival. Of course the birthing process isn't always easy, it can be painful, long and hard going, the mother may feel as though she cannot go on when in the midst of the process..... and yet the reward of birthing new life is immeasurable. What a metaphor for our current experience, it may feel as though it's been a long road, at times exhausting, uncertain and challenging. We are required to push through, as we are about to birth a new life... a new way of being. Our final card today is the page of pentacles ( pentacles representative of the earth element and manifestation) Again we see our young woman balancing on tiptoe. Again we see she is above the treetops. I notice that the sky is the same aqua colour of our first card. Aqua stands for inner peace and serenity. It's a sign that we are strengthening our relationship with universe/creator/source (add in your own word ) and achieving spiritual awareness. Aqua speaks about being on the right path and focusing on the depth of our emotions and our mental clarity. It makes me think of the aqua aura quartz crystal, used to calm the emotions and the emotional body. It is a powerful stress reliever. It is also a strong energy for reducing or eliminating anger. It's energy helps process emotional disturbances, grief and traumas to a point where they are no longer stressful. In summary today, we are being propelled forward, we are being asked to live fully in each moment, feeling it fully. It may at times feel like we are balancing on tip toe, this is a lesson in balance in the midst of all that may appear in and around us. #Makingadifferenec #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Back to life. Oh and what a tune from the universal comms team, an all time favourite of mine, Soul II Soul's "Back to life"... In fact I'm singing along as I type with my headphones in ( at least I can't hear myself lol). It's true we find ourselves in many cases "back to life, back to reality, back to the here and now yeah" The other lyrics that stand our for me are : "Back to life, back to the present time, back from a fantasy. Yeah tell me now, take the initiative,I'll leave it in your hands until you're ready". It has kind of been like living in a fantasy in some respects, I know I've felt like I was living in a Hollywood movie at the beginning of this "unprecedented" time. Now there's a word that has never been used so frequently, ever.... until now. The lines about taking the initiative seem relevant too don't you think? How and when we emerge into the "New, new" is really in our hands. Will we take the lessons with us I wonder? So let's take a look at our cards for today: The first card out today is 20 Judgement. The meaning of number 20 is empowerment. It's a sign that we are more than capable of making something of ourselves and we will be successful in everything we put our heart and mind to. The angel number 20 is proof that the universe approves of our plans, decisions and actions. 20 also symbolises the cycles of completeness. It is often connected to a perfect period of waiting, labour or suffering that is compared to a trial and rewarded. So I wonder, is this experience the birthing of a new era? In the Judgement card we can see the lightness of the woman's soul rising up from her physical body, her face lifted to the light above. She appears to be in a state of release. Letting go of the weight of collective karmic lessons. Perhaps that is what we are collectively working through right now as a global family? A healing and cleansing of our historical karma? Our second card today is the 4 of Pentacles ( pentacles representative of the earth element and of manifestation) The number 4 is a conscientious number with a focus on long-term security and on building a secure foundation for the future. We see a woman holding on tight to her purse, dressed in the red of the root chakra. The root chakra is responsible for our sense of safety and security. A bit of a repeating message weaved within this card. As we get "back to life" we have a responsibility to build a firm and sustainable foundation for our collective future. Our final card today is the 7 of swords ( swords representative of the air element and thinking and intellect) Hmm now he looks a bit of a dodgy character, carrying his knife, under the light of the moon, could he be a thief in the night? Funny though, the moon can illuminate the illusionary nature of our deeper psyche. It shines a light on our fears and insecurities, our unhelpful thinking patterns and those things that we perhaps have been conditioned to believe that simply aren't true. The 7 of swords urges us to use our wits for diplomacy and not to use aggression. We are encouraged to use our mind and intellect, rather than force to champion our cause. The group of crows ( known as a murder of crows... no really) really do make us sit up and listen. When crows gather together in nature it is generally to find out what killed their member. Then, the murder of crows will band together and chase predators in a behavior called mobbing. I'm sure we can see some metaphors and symbolism playing out here in what we are witnessing in the World among opposing groups. Albeit a small minority within those groups, we do witness some of those within different groups are choosing to use aggression or physical action to further their cause and express their deeply held pain and beliefs. It appears that today's card urges the use of the mind, intellect and communication to illuminate the changes we wish to see in the World. In summary today then, our cards ask us to move into this new era by building a firm and secure foundation for the whole global family. Through dialogue and discussion, education and compassion we really can "take the initiative" as our song suggests. It truly is in our hands. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
You can find a way. And a fabulous song from the universal comms team, Enya and "only if " Taking a look at the lyrics I notice these lines... If you really want to, you can hear me say Only if you want to, will you find a way. If you really want to you can seize the day. https://youtu.be/POutyT63tMs A message for us perhaps on our own ability and intent as to how we now navigate this unusual World. So on to our first card for today, the 10 of swords ( swords representative of the air element and of thought and intellect) Number 10 is known as a symbol of the authority of creator/God/universe ( insert own word here) and the government of the Earth from on high. This number can also symbolise responsibility, law and completeness. 10 is considered to be the symbol of obedience and responsibility of people towards the higher law of the universe. We see a woman walking a path alone, a flock of birds above her. The birds signify illumination and empowerment. They usher in fortune and luck and they represent purity, elegance, opportunity, and victory. The birds also signify our indomitable spirit and our ability to rise above adversities. Despite a period of challenges, she is navigating a new path ahead of her. She steps forward tentatively, but she is stepping forward. Our second card today is 4 The Emperor. He looks a pretty chilled out dude today. He appears to be guided by a higher power. He waits patiently to play his move, just like in a game of chess, he keeps his strategy to himself, giving nothing away. He nochenately sits on the planet Mars in our card, almost saying " there's nothing to see here" ... which suggests perhaps there is in fact something much deeper going on than we can observe on the surface. I'm drawn to the ram's skull on the wall behind him today. In many ancient societies the ram skull is said to symbolise initiative, action, leadership and determination. It brings and energy of dominance and masculinity, power, drive, bravery, and energy. Our final card today is the 4 of swords. We see a young woman resting in her nest. Its as though she is nurtured in the womb almost. Safe, secure and recuperating and resting. A bird's nest is a symbol of the home. It reminds us to strive to make our home a place where family members grow and prosper. Considered a good luck symbol, the bird's nest represents all the love and warmth, enthusiasm and commitment required in creating the happiest of homes. Perhaps reminding us that 'home' is not just our own house , it goes beyond that, home is our community, our country and ultimately mother Earth 🏡 It's up to us all to find a way to create the happiest of homes for all of our global family. If we can just seize the day. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Spoilt for choice. And a strange one from the universal comms team today... Shakin' Stevens " you drive me crazy". A bit of cheesy 80's pop has got to be a good start to the day, right ? https://youtu.be/uPLqbU-NQCM I really have no idea how this is going to play out ! First out this morning is 14 Temperance. I notice today he's leaning down on the sun and and supporting the moon. This is a very interesting thread to a video stream I watched yesterday evening by Rachel Elnaugh https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2972298932806611&id=100000796017623 The Moon is considered feminine and the Sun is masculine for several reasons. In a lot of mythologies, the Moon is equated to a woman’s menstrual cycle (every 28 days or so) and a lot of mythologies have female lunar deities. The Sun is considered masculine because of it’s life-giving power and endurance; the word is Sol in Latin and Sunne in Old English and a lot of mythologies have masculine solar deities. Maybe he is showing us there needs to be a change in the balance of energies in the world. Where we perhaps see a shift from top down masculine type energy, to a more bottom up support through more feminine type energy. Our second card today is the 4 of cups ( cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions) Ah bless her, she's still sitting there like a bored teenager, since the last time we saw her. Ha ha ... it looks like she's left a pile of washing up next to her too, just stacking up... She can't even muster the energy or interest to get up and do something about it. She's being handed such a gift, but she can't see it .Too focused on how bored she is, rather than getting moving and making something of the abundance she truly has.... we could say she's been a bit spoilt in the past, she perhaps doesn't realise how very fortunate she has been. Maybe she brings us a little nudge to remind us to count our blessings 🙏 and take responsibility for making our own opportunities. Our final card today is the 7 of cups . Well he's spoilt for choice.... I then get the lyrics of a song... "it's just an illusion, all this confusion". Suggesting that he's driving himself crazy with over thinking the next steps, when its clearly obvious what does and doesn't flow. He's using old thinking to solve new challenges. That reminds me of a quote from Albert Einstein “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” Today seems to be pointing us to change... change in our attitudes, change in our thinking, change in our energy and change in our actions. Wow now that's a lot of change headed our way... Here's a question that may help, as I've heard posed many times by the entrepreneur Brad Burton .. " What does this now make possible?" #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Stardust. And this time the universal comms team have gone for the bands name rather than the song title .... Stardust's "The music sounds better with you" https://youtu.be/FQlAEiCb8m0 The lyric that stands out to me is : 'Love might bring us back together'💛 In the video we see a young boy imagining flying his wooden glider plane high. He can see it in his minds eye as if it's already real before he has even built it. I guess there's a question in that for us... Can we clearly see what we are manifesting before we begin to take action towards it ? A little like the message from yesterday about the zero point .... We have the ability of creating something out of nothingness.... for better or worse..... It is governed by our intent and focus. So on to our cards for today. First out is the 8 of wands (wands representative of the fire element and action) When all of those multi-coloured wands come together look at that magical starburst of creation they make. All action focused to one point. It feels like looking into a time warp or vortex. The vortex is the meta-pattern of the universe and an elemental image. It is an archetypal symbol embodying above and below, in the Cosmos, Earth and our own microcosmic nature. Galaxies, Earth, the quantum realm and the human energy body share this essence; vortex energy. It is a powerful symbol to denote unusual developments in life. It draws in those who are caught in it. Sometimes, it may even act as a door way to another world. In spirituality, it can denote mortal life and the cycle of birth and death. Something then is beginning and something is ending. In Hinduism it is suggested that those who are caught in the vortex ( or whirlpool of energy) are increasingly drawn into worldly life and drowned in sorrow and suffering. They can only escape from it, by practicing detachment from the drama and chaos raising their consciousness to a higher vista.... by setting a positive intent, sparking life into the as yet untapped potential. Our second card today is the 5 of cups ( cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions) We see a young woman looking sad and forlorn as her cup empties into a whirlpool below ( hmm bit of a repeating message hey?) She is so focused on what has been lost, what has gone before. She isn't seeing the abundant singing bowl right next to her or the infinte starlit sky above.. I guess she is only focused on the whirlpool.... an ever decreasing downward spiral. I'm reminded of a saying I use a lot , I even used it in a networking meeting this morning. "What you focus on grows, where focus goes, energy flows" That goes for both for the positive and the negative. Our final card for today is the knight of swords yet again ( swords representative of the air element and of thought and intellect) Is he really still running around and still not getting any where ? Hmm... could it be he needs to take note of the bird flying high up above him? To take a higher plane of thought ? Perhaps he is too drawn into the melee of life, missing the opportunity of greater vision for himself . In summary today, it would seem we are being to challenged to consider our vision... what is it we are creating? Where are we focusing our energy and intent ? What direction are we headed? And do we like what we see there ? "The amazing thing is that every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements - the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for evolution - weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars and the only way they could get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode. The stars died so that you could be here today". - Lawrence M. Krauss, A Universe from Nothing: Why There Is Something Rather Than Nothing. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Come into the light. Ah what a gorgeous song from the universal comms team today. Bliss and the beautiful voice of Lucinda Drayton "Come into the light". https://youtu.be/O6xUahjBJN4 A ballad about transcending ego dramas to enter Soul Consciousness. The lyrics relate to this journey from troublesome ego dramas, to the peace and light of soul connection - soul consciousness. I find this idea most inspiring as glance around social media right now. I wonder, what bliss and connection, might we find if we were to transcend the ego and relate to one another as souls; each of us small shards of the universal whole ? Let's see how this threads through our cards today. First out today 6 of Wands ( wands representative of the fire element and action) We see a young woman taking centre stage, arms up in the air giving salutation to the light. She is in the spotlight, held in the columns of universal light. To her left (feminine energy) we see a fiery topped wand with a laurel wreath. Laurel wreaths Are a symbol of victory, honour and peace. Laurel is a symbol of Apollo and the leaf itself is believed to have spiritual and physical cleansing abilities. As an essence, Laurel instills resourcefulness, helping us hold our vision, get organised and bring our plan into manifestation. It supports us in organising, directing, planning and structuring our thoughts in line with our intention. Inspiring us with ideas and formulating a clear and concise mental picture of exactly what we want, through our intention our highest dreams can become a reality. We can influence the World around us, we can make a difference. It starts within each of us. Our second card today is 12 the hanged man. Today I'm drawn to the shape our subject is making, it looks almost as though she is in the challenging yoga backbend "dhanurasana", or bow pose. This yoga pose offers an opportunity to embody the selfless spirit of the inner warrior and apply these teachings in our lives. Resembling an archer’s bow, this posture encourages a powerful stretch along the front of the body and a deep opening at the heart centre, helping us cultivate an attitude of fearlessness and grace as we set out to pursue our dharma and offer up the fruits of our actions. On an energetic level, the stabilising warrior poses help build stamina and determination as we set our sights on life’s higher purpose. The uplifting backbending postures promote courage and dispel despondency, invigorating us to fulfill our true potential in this world. We are being asked to surrender to our higher self's wisdom and guidance. To transcend the lower urges of the ego, to ascend to higher consciousness. Our final card today is 0 the fool. As I look at the card " the zero point" drops into my mind. Now that's a huge subject matter to even begin to cover here (please do have a Google on it's meaning to us spiritually speaking ) For today though, I'm simply going to say living from the Zero Point, we are given a way to transform the world from within. It is the infinte point of all creation. Which brings me to the depiction of the seed of life in our card. The Seed of Life is a universal symbol of creation.Found at the heart of an ancient pattern called the Flower of Life, there is an entire cosmology of consciousness encoded into this singular geometric seed. We see the dots within the card... I feel we're being asked to "join the dots". When we think back to doing dot-to-dot puzzles as child, we can no doubt recall, that it was only when a line was drawn connecting the dots, that the outline of an object was revealed. Perhaps we are being shown a metaphor to illustrate our ability (or inability) to associate one idea with another, to find a shared "big picture". Some beautiful messages today, urging us to move beyond ego driven action, to a place of blissful soul to soul connection. "Birthplace: Earth Race: Human Politics: Freedom Religion: Love" - Stev Fair We are one. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Over the hills and far away. Interestingly I was just given " up above the treetops " from the universal comms team... Which led me to the theme from the children's programme ' Rainbow', but intuitively it didn't seem the one, then next on the list was Led Zeppelin's 'Over the hills and far away', which I'd never heard before but felt to be the right song. https://youtu.be/o-tT62bpYlU I wonder how that will show up in today's cards 🤔? So first card today is the 4 of cups ( cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions) I'm now wondering if I should have stuck with the theme tune to 'rainbow' after all. https://youtu.be/15_q-UxEI7I As we can see the rainbow 🌈 in this card, even if our very bored looking young woman is missing it's presence altogether! Looking at the lyrics, these words jump out ... 'Take some green from a forest, blue from the sea, find the misty pot of gold, and mix them for a week. Paint the whole world with a rainbow'. As we can see, there's a pot of gold from which the rainbow of colours emanates in our card. The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, symbolises realisation of all one's hopes and dreams; ultimate success, fulfillment, or happiness. And yet frustratingly, she's not even noticed it's there. Maybe a message to us that we're not noticing the gifts and blessings around us perhaps? Our next card today is the page of pentacles (pentacles representative of the earth element and manifestation) ... Ah, now I see where the Led Zeppelin song title comes in....as our page is perched up above the treetops, over the hills and far away... in a clearing by a forest of tall pine trees. In the countries around the world where pine trees grow, many legends, beliefs, and folklore surround this magnificent tree. Aside from representing fertility, wisdom and longevity, the pine tree is a symbol of peace. The Japanese term Matsu loosely translates as “waiting for the soul of a god to descend from heaven”, which relates to the Shinto belief that pines are ladders used by gods to ascend to heaven. Pine tree as an essence, helps us develop a stronger conscious relationship with our Higher Self, integrating ourselves as a whole being, both physical and spiritual. It would suggest we are evolving, integrating and ascending our consciousness. Our final card today is the knight of swords (swords representative of the air element and of thought and intellect) Blimey he keeps on showing up doesn't he ? So what does he show us today? The words ' race against time' come to mind. Yet what follows is 'you can't outrun time' What's he in such a rush for? I wonder is there a fear of missing out, or missing the boat going on here ? Is that real or imagined? It kind of mirrors our current situation really, a race to get the economy back up and running perhaps? When coupled with , 'you can't out run time', I get the feeling that no matter how quickly we try to get to a 'new normal' we can't change the natural order of the jniverse as it unfolds, nor can we speed things up , we can't jump ahead of the natural passage of time.... Overall it feels to be a message of patience, try as we might we cannot speed up the the nature of time, we can only move at it's own predetermined pace... Sadly, perhaps ...there is no time warp or Delorian available to us, no matter how much we may wish it so. "You're only here for a short visit. Don't hurry. Don't worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way." #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Absolutely loved recording my next "Get a life moment" with the wonderful Bryony Dowson, in this episode we talk life changing trips to distant communities in Nepal, all things acupuncture and health, along with discussion on the human need for connection. Ride on time . And what a top tune from the universal comms team... Black box and " Ride on time." https://youtu.be/M0quXl_od3g Let's see how this is represented in our cards today... Our first card out today is that speedy knight of swords ( swords representative of the fire element and action) It reminds me today of my childhood and watching Speedy Gonzales who was an animated cartoon character in the Warner Brothers Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. He was portrayed as "The Fastest Mouse in all Mexico" with his major traits being the ability to run extremely fast.... a little like our Knight. When I clicked onto YouTube I was greeted with a loony toons classic , 'The time machine', featuring Daffy Duck and Speedy Gonzales with his mariachi band. https://youtu.be/O9CPPFQKsIA Interesting though, back in 2002, Cartoon Network spokeswoman Laurie Goldberg was interviewed and commented, "It hasn't been on the air for years because of its ethnic stereotypes." Despite which it remains extremely popular in Latin America. Mariachi music is of the country people, it celebrates their struggles, joys and growth of the people. Mariachi song lyrics are mostly about love, betrayal, death, politics, revolutionary heroes and country life. How interesting 🤔 Themes of ethnicity, stereotyping and reflecting on what we are perhaps no longer considering acceptable. Perhaps we are also being asked to consider any quick decisions we may now be making about the depiction of history in our society? And the ' Time machine' reference.... I wonder what would we do differently if we could travel in time? Maybe in our haste we may miss the opportunity for meaningful discussion, enlightenment and potential growth? Our urge to 'Ride on time' is throwing up much debate, discussion and examination. Our second card today is the Ace of wands... we are feeling the full force of this action oriented wand energy today aren't we ? This card brings such a creative force. The burning ideas, wanting to burst forth. Today I feel the card reminds me of Nefertiti, whose name means "a beautiful woman has come," was the queen of Egypt and wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten during the 14th century B.C. Her reign was a time of tremendous cultural upheaval, as Akhenaten reoriented Egypt's religious and political structure around the worship of the sun god Aten. Nefertiti was perhaps one of the most powerful women ever to have ruled. Her husband went to great lengths to display her as an equal. Some strong themes here of cultural and religious upheaval, the breaking down of political structures and of equality. I also notice the fishing nets around her head. It feels like there is some restraint, a holding back on sharing of ideas. Our final card today is another wand , this time the 3. We see woman ready to catch those waves, ready for action. I notice her body painted with intricate designs, almost looks tribal or perhaps like Mehndi. Painting of henna tattoos is primarily used for festivities and celebrations, it is also a way of making the sacred visible, and communicating with a higher power. I guess there's some big themes coming through today for us to give thought to. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Blinded by the light. And from the universal comms team, a song by Manfred Mann's Earth Band "Blinded by the light". https://youtu.be/Rpq35wyDi7I I'm not sure how the theme is going to pan out in our cards, but let's see.... Our first card today is the 9 of wands ( wands representative of the fire element and action) We see a young woman, holding a wand, a flame ablaze at the top. There is a halo around the flame of fire. Interestingly the urban dictionary translation of this is: "halo on fire" Someone who is a good person, but does wrong things for right reasons and who tortures themselves about it. Maybe she has a level of inner conflict going on right now. Despite this she has an almost defiant look on her face. She is held behind a boundary of wands, yet she looks as though she is about to step forward and breakthrough those restraints, to cross that boundary. She appears determined to push through any limitations. Behind her we see a vast grey landscape. It is a colour that is often associated with loss or depression. To me, grey also signifies a feeling of "stuckness". I notice that her left shoulder is exposed. Perhaps she has shouldered this emotional weight long enough. It is time to expose those burdens to the world and move out of her grey tinged past. Our second card today is 16 The Tower. We see a sudden blinding lightning strike. As it hits the tree below all is transforming right before our eyes. The old roots and foundations are being destroyed, it is a sudden, unexpected and drastic change that is taking place. Lightning is often seen as a symbol of intuition and spiritual illumination. Lightning has long been associated with the gods; Greek mythology shows lightning as the chief weapon of Zeus, King of the Gods. Zeus was often depicted with lightning bolts in his hands, ready to strike down people and buildings that displeased him. How interesting that we are seeing this happen quite literally right now, with statues of historical figures toppling from upon high. The numerology of number 16 resonates with wisdom, independence and family. It is a number of introspection. It's wise and intuitive. The number 16 is both spiritual and analytical, a philosopher with sound arguments. As a karmic number, 16 is one of the hardest numbers to live with, however, if we find strengths to overcome it, we will be rewarded as much as this karmic debt has been taken from us. When we see the number 16, we are witnessing something that is quite possibly life-changing. We see a light illuminating the scene from behind, it appears almost other worldly. In the foreground we see a squirrel with its acorns. When squirrels prepare for the winter, they gather only what they require. This teaches us the importance of letting go/getting rid of unnecessary physical objects and also negative beliefs, emotions and memories which limit our faith in love and abundance. Our final card today is the knight of Pentacles ( pentacles representative of the earth element and manifestation) This steadfast and hardworking knight can be seen walking the fields barefoot, planting seeds for a strong foundation for the future. Being barefoot indicates that he is currently looking for a new ground, to ground himself, something more reliable. We see his trusty steed walking behind him. Jung felt that the Horse symbolised personal power, things that we master in our lives and our natural gifts. Horse is a creature of success and self-actualisation. When we know what drives us and put that awareness to work, we can get much further and faster than we ever thought possible. Interesting themes today, perhaps mirroring some of the real life events that we are witnessing in the world. Perhaps in some cases radical actions, a challenge of our beliefs and maybe an awareness of at times having the potential to be blinded by the light of righteousness from all directions. In this moment of enlightenment and illumination, we are perhaps bring urged to be grounded and considered in our thoughts, words and deeds, in order to plant seeds for a new more loving foundation for our human family. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful On today's "Get a life moment" I'm joined by the fabulous, multi- award winning author, teacher and inner transformation specialist, Tiffany Crosara. Power and structure. And a very big piece of music to accompany our cards today from the universal comms team, from Gustav Holst's The Planets ... "Mars". https://youtu.be/Jmk5frp6-3Q Wow, some power in this music, no surprise really when we consider Mars is named after the Roman god of war, owing perhaps to the planet's reddish hue, which gives it the colour of blood. For this reason, the symbol associated with Mars represents the god of wars' shield and spear. He is a natural ruler of the military. Mars is also associated with fiery passion. Mars will control energy and passion, motivation and perseverance. Interestingly, originally, Mars was a god of vegetation and the protector of cattle and fields, who only later became associated with warfare. So lets see how these themes play out in today's cards. First card today is the Ace of Swords (swords representative of the air element and of thought and intellect) We see a woman deep in thought and contemplation. The Sacred Spiral is depicted in the card. Representing our spiraling journey from the center to ascension, The spiral is the age-old intuitive symbol of spiritual development and our identity with the universe. Spirals are believed to represent movement through experiences in life. The Celts in particular viewed this symbol as one of progressive development, growth and expansion as we make our journey towards the centre and towards the light. As ‘re-volution’ or ‘re-evolution’, the spiral progression is symbolic of the transpersonal route to that higher level of consciousness. Our second card today is 4 The Emperor. We see him sitting upon the red planet (see intro) on his forearm he has a tattoo of The Ankh. In mythology, the Ankh was held in the hands of the gods as a symbol of their power to give life or take it away. The symbol of the ankh meant “life” and was often used as an amulet, as a symbolic representation of both physical and eternal life. The Ankh symbolises life, immortality and reincarnation. We see he is holding a chess piece in his right hand, it's the king. In the game of chess, the king is the most important piece of the set and must be protected. The aim of the game is to threaten the king of the opposing player. The most important person in a monarchy, even today, is the king. The game is based on this premise that a monarchy will be destroyed when a king is destroyed. The king in chess is a piece that can only move one step at a time, which makes him vulnerable. Strategy in chess must revolve around not only attacking your opponent’s king but also protecting your own king. Make of this what you will.... to me it signifies a power struggle. Is it perhaps mirroring current struggles we are witnessing in the news? I wonder is this perhaps symbolic of leaders in the world? Or a power struggle between man and nature ? Or all three ? Our final card today is 5 The Hierophant. He appears to be laughing almost hysterically. Perhaps he knows something we don't? We can see enlightenment ahead, yet its a steep climb to get there. Our figure here in the card is a much evolved version of the traditional patriarchal 'High priest'. He doesn't ask us to bow down at his feet to seek wisdom and connection to higher powers. Instead he invites us to sit with him in meditation. The connection to the enlightenment we seek is within us and all around us.... as it ever was .... if we can just slow down enough to be at one with our spiritual heart. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Walking on sunshine Oh how exciting 😀 what an uplifting choice from the universal comms team today... Katrina and the waves "Walking on sunshine" 🌞 https://youtu.be/CKh0dLIuIu8 Oh it's got me singing and dancing along. What a great energy and feeling with the cards today! Let's see how this plays out then shall we ? Our first card out today is 19 The Sun. Angel Number 19 is a message that our goal has almost come to completion, or that a phase or situation in our life is coming to an end. One door is closing as another is opening. This is also mirrored in the numerology of 19 which is both a starter and a finisher. The essence of 19 is self-determined, primarily focused on itself. The essence also contains the ideas of drive, independence, self-sufficiency, exploration, compassion, tolerance, enthusiasm and a powerful initiative. Such a positive energy is unfolding. If we look at the card, we see the open gesture of the woman. She is open to receive the new life giving energy ( life force) coming in from the 🌞 sun's rays. There is such an abundance held in this scene. We also see the turquoise of spiritual growth and change. A real shift has taken place. New knowledge has been gained and an exuberance of zest and passion for life is now released. Our second card today is the Queen of Pentacles (pentacles representative of the earth element and manifestation) Wow what a feeling of being grounded in her surroundings.... completely at home with her place in the world. She is at one with nature and I get those words "hearth and home" once again. She values her family, friends and the feeling of foundations , safety and security she has created. She also suggests a fertile time ahead. We see her head is wrapped in turquoise and her eyelids are also enhanced with this beautiful colour. The colour turquoise is associated with meanings of feminine, calming, sophisticated, energy. It depicts her wisdom, serenity and wholeness. It suggests she has a creative vision for the future. She emits emotional balance and spiritual grounding. Our final card today is the 9 of Pentacles. Another card suggesting spiritual and material success. We see a joyful woman tending to her abundant crop of pentacles, herbs 🌿 and plants. We see the falcon perching on one of the pentacles, that the woman holds, like a gauntlet. The falcon has great speed and superiority. It has emence strength, wisdom, freedom and focus. It suggests ambition, and aspiration. As a solar symbol ( there's that sunshine reference again), it defines victory and the ability to rise above all situations. My attention is drawn to the bay leaves hanging above her. Bay leaves; also known as laurel, can cleanse the energy of a space, banish negativity, communicating our wishes to the Universe. This suggests to me we are leaving behind any negative energy and experiences and moving into a much more positive time ahead. The green in the card relating the colour of life, renewal, nature. An energy, that is associated with growth, harmony, freshness, safety, fertility, and environment. It is also the colour of the Anahata chakra ( heart) Spiritually effects our ability to express unconditional love, forgiveness and compassion. Green is a healing colour that gives healing energy to the heart. So in summary today, a real shift in energy is emerging. A much more positive, uplifting and hopeful energy. #lifeisbeautiful #makingadifference Today's storytelling.
Faster than light. And the universal comms team took me on a bit of a journey to get to today's song. At first I thought it was 'extraordinary world'... but there wasn't a song of that name, just Duran Duran's 'Ordinary world' which just didn't feel right, as I looked at that ' faster than light' popped up, a song I don't even remember by Duran Duran. https://youtu.be/Onaf4k3eJ0M What did strike me was the symbolism on the album cover. An abstract depiction of two triangles (or pyramids) and a eye. It made me think of the 'Eye of Providence'. The Eye of Providence, (or the all-seeing eye of God) is a symbol, used in various religions and other institutions, think American seal or dollar bill for example. It depicts an eye, often enclosed by a triangle and surrounded by rays of light, or glory, meant to represent the concept of divine providence, whereby the eye of God/ creator/ universe (insert your own preference here) watches over humanity. The light represents spiritual illumination. The eye corresponds with the motto, "Annuit Coeptis," meaning "he approves of this undertaking." The second motto, " Novus ordo seclorum," literally means "a new order of the ages" Back to the Duran Duran album cover and the two triangles also suggest the symbols for air and earth.... making me think of the magician... and of Hermes Trismegistus' "As above, so below" a motto associated with sacred geometry, Hermeticism, and the Tarot. Blimey, the universal comms team have got me busy researching already today ! We best get onto our cards for today and see where this theme is taking us .... First up today is 3 The Empress. The great mother, a symbol of unification of mind, body and spirit. I notice that she is heavily influenced by the full moon ( we had a full moon and lunar eclipse on friday) the energy is beaming down and surrounding the earth. You may want to take a listen to Pam Gregory to understand a little more about it.. https://youtu.be/CQ3lVXC5XdA I'm also drawn to her thorny bracelet on her left wrist. It makes me think of the thorn necklace in the artist Frida Kahlo's self portrait.... Funny, I've been very drawn to printed skirts and dresses of her art in this past week ! ( the signs and symbols are always there if we notice them) The thorn necklace possibly alluding to Christ's crown of thorns, thus likening herself to a martyr and representing the pain and anguish she felt after failed relationships. In the potrait she surrounds herself with butterflies and dragonflies perhsps symbolising her resurrection, or rebirth. Blimey, it would seem the universal comms team really are working hard to get me reading and researching for sure ! On to our second card for today, a quick return of the knight of swords ( swords representative of the air element and of thought and intellect) Only he's appearing to up the ante....speeding things up .... faster than light you might say ;) Ha ha , I'm reminded of a great clip I show during time management training sessions ( yes I do serious business development too) .... its a short clip from 'Love Lucy' about the packing room .... https://youtu.be/WmAwcMNxGqM I guess the message here is simple and straightforward, "speed it up". Our knight needs to get a wriggle on, he can't slow down . He has to keep focused. Our final card today is the page of cups ( cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions) The phrase that comes to mind is " think out of the box" I know, I know ... what a cliché. Simply put it's an expression that describes nonconformal, creative thinking. Old ways of being or doing is just that ... old. Compared with 'think inside the box'... to think in traditional fashion, bound by old, nonfunctional, or limiting structures, rules, or practices. We are given the suggestion that we won't come up with good ideas if we think only inside the 'old' box. Time to upgrade our ideas it would seem.... and do you notice what I notice? .... it's mainly coming from his heart rather than his head. I guess it's saying that no idea is a bad idea if it's heartfelt. Overall today then we are being heavily influenced by bigger energy at play, a time of rebirth, renewal and the speed of change is upon us. As we embark on stepping out into the World, we need to think with our heart and with compassion towards our fellow travellers. What we think, feel and action now will manifest our collective future. "Nothing is nearer to us than heaven. The earth is beneath our feet, and we tread upon it, but heaven is within us". - Nikos Kazantzakis #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Rise up. I didn’t actually know the song that the universal comms team gave me today until I clicked onto it on YouTube... then it was instantly familiar. I have a feeling the lyrics may well be very poignant in today's storytelling. It's 'Rise up' by Andra Day. https://youtu.be/FBuIBaDSOa4 Wow just take a read of the lyrics... You're broken down and tired, of living life on a merry go round And you can't find the fighter, but I see it in you. So we gonna walk it out And move mountains, we gonna walk it out And move mountains And I'll rise up I'll rise like the day I'll rise up I'll rise unafraid I'll rise up And I'll do it a thousand times again And I'll rise up High like the waves I'll rise up In spite of the ache I'll rise up And I'll do it a thousands times again For you. When the silence isn't quiet and it feels like it's getting hard to breathe And I know you feel like dying ,but I promise we'll take the world to its feet And move mountains We'll take it to its feet And move mountains And I'll rise up I'll rise like the day I'll rise up I'll rise unafraid I'll rise up And I'll do it a thousand times again For you All we need, all we need is hope and for that we have each other And for that we have each other We will rise We will rise We'll rise, oh oh We'll rise.... I've actually got goose bumps. When listened to and read in the context of current world news, it takes on a deeply profound meaning. Which leads us onto our first card today 20 Judgement. Oh my .. where do I start with this one ? The card shows the soul rising up from the woman. The words 'divine grace' comes to mind . Divine grace is a theological term present in many religions. It has been defined as the divine influence which operates in humans to regenerate and sanctify, to inspire virtuous impulses and to impart strength to endure trial and resist temptation. Interestingly, I was drawn to a Facebook post just before writing this today, it was a video of a gospel choir singing 'Amazing grace'... such synchronicity. The number 20 carries the message of love, encouragement, support and guidance. This number is a blessing in our life. It fills us with optimism, happiness and joy. The influence of the number 20, often brings the message of a mission in this life to help the ones who are in pain and need help. Deeply profound at this exact moment in our collective experience. We are witnessing an uprising, in response to a rising up of a soul.... perhaps of many souls. I'm not sure how to capture the words here today .... I went to write "truth be told" ... and realised that is a message in itself... on so many levels, relating to all view points, all aspects and all of the many life and death challenges we are collectively experiencing right now. This is born out in much Astrological narrative at this time too. "Born out" .... another message perhaps? Time for a 'rebirth' maybe ? Our second card today is 10 The Wheel. We see a woman in total balance between the duality in all of its worldly ( and otherworldly) expression. And yet it could be said that she is perched precariously up on the top of the ever spinning and ever turning wheel. Depending on our own personal circumstances, experiences and view point. The Wheel signifies, fate, karmic lessons and the chaos of creation. Which brings me to Chaos theory, a branch of mathematics that deals with complex systems whose behaviour is highly sensitive to slight changes in conditions. Simply put, when small alterations are made it can 'give rise' to unintended consequences. Or maybe the analogy of the domino effect; a chain reaction causing a cumulative effect, when one event sets off a chain of events. It suggests that we find ourselves at an extremely important moment. A pivotal moment, that could go either way. Action - Reaction It perhaps suggests that we need absolute focus on maintaining balance, in every aspect of our individual and collective thoughts, emotions and subsequent actions right now. Our final card today is the knight of swords (swords representative of the air element and of thought and intellect) Wow he's taking swift action, to 'save the day' . Hot on the heels of intelligence and information, our knight wastes no time to turn data and ideas into action. He is quick to focus... and that bird looks ready to swoop at a moments notice. Primed and ready with a clear strategy and response. As storm clouds gather overhead. A pretty strong message comes from the storytelling today. One of a very delicate balance. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Ray of light. And a fabulous little ditty from the universal comms team today... Madonna's " Ray of light". https://youtu.be/x3ov9USxVxY Wow, just watching the video makes my head spin. A little like life before our enforced reset perhaps ? Doing a little bit of background research Madonna wrote the song and album of the same name, after the birth of her daughter Lourdes. Interestingly Lourdes, a town in southwestern France, that was popularised as a given name, after St. Bernadette experienced visions of the Virgin Mary there in 1858. No surprise then that "Ray of Light" is largely about spiritual transformation. So let's see how this theme progresses throughout our cards today... Our first card today is 9 The Hermit. Through life experience, the hermit has learned the value and magnitude of inner wisdom and is now in a position to awaken others to their own light and higher self. Leading by example, the hermit shows us how to handle hardship with grace and understanding, whilst inspiring others to do the same. The hermit does not draw a line between any race, religion, or ways of life, it gives space and respect to everybody. A healthy lack of judgement and bias allows the hermit to see everyone as valuable and worthy of support. A perfect depiction of Madonna's need for hermitage from the hectic 🌎 world perhaps? Certainly an apt reflection for us as we witness protest and outcry across the USA and here in the UK. Our second card today is the 2 of wands (wands representative of the fire element and action). We see a young woman longing for adventure, whilst comfortable at home 🏡. She plans her travels and dreams of the potential future. She is at a choice point, stay in her comfortable surroundings or venture out into the world of possibility. It's time for her to step up. To take action. Our final card today is the 8 of pentacles(pentacles representative of the earth element and manifestation) The meaning of the number 8 is harmony, peace and balance. It is a symbol that helps us make decisions that are beneficial to us in our life. The pentacles in the card remind me of the moon's phases. Of course we have just had a full moon and eclipse. The Full Moon is a time when we’re naturally accelerated, energy is flowing and things will naturally come to a head. Emotions are heightened now, too. It’s a great time to give thanks, for the things that have reached fullness, it’s a great time to consider that which we can now let go of. In astrology, eclipses are believed to realign us with our fate by causing unavoidable and often unexpected changes in our lives. Couple that with the appearance of fast moving teal and turquoise beneath the feet of our young woman in the card and change is definitely afoot. Teal is the colour of the Ananda kanda. Just below the heart Chakra, is said to be a space called the ''Ananda Kanda'' which means the ''root of bliss''. “As great as the infinite space beyond is the space within the lotus of the heart. Both heaven and earth are contained in that inner space, fire and air, sun and moon, lighting and stars. Whether we know it in this world or know it not, everything is contained in that inner space” - Chandogya Upanishad So in summary today it would seem we are at a pivotal moment.... do we embrace the energy of spiritual growth, change and transformation... or stay inside our well worn comfort zone? Ultimately, we have to evolve beyond our current world challenges.... I guess the real choice is one of choosing to make the change happen, or being made to make the change happen. "The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself. - C. Just an illusion. Oh and good job universal comms team... what a tune ! Imagination and " just an illusion" https://youtu.be/A_HRGeEnhgw Wow I'm in 1982 with my gold headband around my forehead all over again, love it 😀 Very apt lyrics perhaps ... Searching for a destiny that's mine There's another place another time Follow your emotions anywhere Is it really magic in the air..... Never let your feelings get you down Open up your eyes and look around It's just an illusion, illusion, illusion. Hmm a repeating message of previous days...looking beyond what's presented to seek out the truth. Let's see what our cards show us today... First card out today is the page of pentacles (pentacles representative of the earth element and manifestation) And there she is pirouetting on the spot. The pirouette is that which both turns in upon itself and moves toward another place or time. An interesting idea, turning in upon ourself whilst simultaneously moving to another place. A suggestion perhaps that it is our inward journey that is truly the catalyst in our progression forward. In our card our figure gazes down to her left, dipping down into her feelings and emotions, reiterating the inner work suggested by the pirouette. The mandala under her foot makes me think of a hearth rug, in an old fashioned traditional home.(Hearth and home a symbol of traditional family values and home life). At the centre of the home, the hearth provides warmth and light, food and protection, also symbolising love, fertility and life. A depiction of energetic balance, with the masculine fire and the feminine receptacle. I'm drawn to the pentacle in her hand, I'm hearing the phrase "The wheel keeps turning ", perhaps suggesting that things have begun developing, unfolding, or progressing. If we're going to act, we have to do it now, once the wheels are turning, there is no going back. Our second card today is the 7 of cups( cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions) Choices, choices.... Yet what is real, what is illusion? We see a chap trying to choose between the array of options infront of him. So many options, but which flows? We see an illusionary castle, a mask to hide behind and snakes and ladders. Thinking of the childhood game, no matter how strategic we may try to be, there is an element of chance weaved into every move. It's the throw of the dice. Did you know? Snakes and Ladders originated in India as a game based on a map of the spiritual world. The symbolism of the ladder as a means of ascent and the snake as a means of descent. In effect the snake symbolically is equivalent to a tunnel in this context. It describes the manoevering required around the body in the search for the crown chakra and the exit point to the Higher spirit (or higher connection or consciousness). We also see a bat's wing in the card. Because of their echo-location and maneuvering in the dark, bats represent the perception of things that others cannot see. What may appear as an illusion to some perhaps ? Bats often represent death in the sense of letting go of the old and bringing in the new. They are symbols of transition, of initiation, and the start of a new beginning. Our final card today is the 5 of cups. There she is putting her toe into the cup ( singing bowl) emotionally she is tentively tiptoeing into the emotional void of the as yet unknown. The next steps aren't fully illuminated. Although we see light at the end of that tunnel. An indication that a long period of difficulty is nearing an end. We can also see a singing bowl filled to the brim with an abundance of rainbow colours. This rainbow of colours is often viewed as a symbol that we can move from one moment or situation in our spiritual development to the next level.... yet another repeating message for us here today perhaps? In summary today, we are going through a metamorphosis of our exsistance on the macro, which in turn on the micro level may feel overwhelming, unclear or uncertain, I guess we are bring asked to take the leap anyway.... and trust we will make the right choices. “Every great move forward in your life begins with a leap of faith, a step into the unknown.” #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Round and round. And from the universal comms team an 80s tune by the same name by Jaki Graham. I seem to be getting a lots of throwbacks to the 80s! At simple level a song about love. https://youtu.be/O-vhISAq3pI So let's see what our cards have in store today.... First out is the queen of swords ( swords representative of the air element and of thought and intellect) We see our queen upon her solid throne. Perceptive and considered, she is an unbiased thought leader. She seeks only truth. She holds back from taking any action without considering the fullness of the situation. She takes a visionary stance, not caught up in the drama of any given snapshot in time. Her view is of the vastness of the potential future, not the minutiae of the moment. She is protective of that which she holds dear. (Values) She is concerned with both wise counsel and considered and honest communication. Perhaps she appears to warn us against rash commentary or ill considered action. She asks us instead to look for truth in all matters . To uncover deception or misdirected action. Our second card today is another sword. The ace. With clarity of thought, examination of facts and evidence we get to the truth. A greater awareness of deeper truth, purpose and meaning of our current global situation is being illuminated. The word 'investigation' comes to mind. Through careful examination of all of the clues we are being shown what is real and what is not, leading to a clearer vision of the future and what our next steps should be. We are witnessing a epic shift in our evolution. Our final card today is yet another sword, the 3. It looks like a pretty dramatic card. It appears to reveal eons of pain and heartache, now being expressed. That ❤ shows the wounds of lifetimes. It is connected to everything, in all directions of time and space. It perhaps speaks of the ultimate outcry of pain. And yet repression of that cry only causes further damage and ultimately holds us in a repeating, restricted pattern.... round and round. The good news comes in the number 3 itself, not only a nod to The Empress; the mother, the bringer of creation, the giver of new life and new birth....but also in the symbolism of the number itself. The number 3 represents divine wholeness, completeness and perfection. If there ever was a desire to highlight an idea or thought, the number 3 brings that light. And so in the expression of the pain, we ultimately become free. "Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding". - Khalil Gibran Wow a bit of a deep message today folks ! #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Memory lane. And from the universal comms team, a song by Minnie Riperton "Back down memory lane". https://youtu.be/0z7MaFE-uRQ Which is interesting, as we have lots of Astrological influences taking us back over old ground right now. I even woke from a dream this morning that made me think about setting up a "zoom reunion" with some old work colleagues. I was also racking my brains just now, trying to remember a song from the early 80s. So when our first card out today happened to be the 6 of cups (cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions) I just had to smile 😃 Such a wonderfully nostalgic card. Old memories, old friendships resurfacing, going back to our past , yet weaving that through to who we're becoming in our future too. We are the sum total of all of our experiences to date. Good and bad, they have made us into the miraculous being we are right now and inform who we are becoming. The same could be said of our current global experiences. It raises some questions to ponder I guess.... what have we learned and what do we still need to learn ? We are being given the gift of hindsight here in this card. So that we may move forward with the wisdom it now brings us. Our second card today is the knight of swords (swords representative of the air element and of thought and intellect) I'm strangely drawn to his bottom ( oh dear I dread to think where this is going ) ... it looks like he's ripped his trousers 👖. ( shorts in this case) enter memory of doing the same myself whilst delivering training in Birmingham in my late 20s ... I had to tie my cardi around my waist to hide my embarrassment 🤦 I guess its a metaphor for looking back over our life and being red faced about some of our antics... funnily enough another synchronicity, a friend WhatsApp'd me an old photo of her on a look a like business website , to which she mentioned how embarrassing it was.... Well our knight is in a rush to distance himself from the thought, to get away from that historic part of his journey as quickly as possible. I guess, as a collective we could be eager to get away from many aspects of our history as humans. And yet with recent events, such as the virus and events in America, maybe its time to turn and face our lessons head on, to take stock and adjust of forward trajectory accordingly. There's no need to be harsh on ourselves, we can look on the past as an observer, with kindness and compassion, enabling us to move forward with those learnings as we face the future. Our final card for today is the knight of cups ( cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions) and with it I will share that blummin song that was so evasive earlier, that is until I enlisted help from my old school buddies... A song by Modern Romance , " Best years of our lives" https://youtu.be/xSKiIGGQglY With all this reminiscing we could look back with our rose tinted specs ( see what happened there... 🌹 tinted, the universe even surprises me you know, as I never know what I'm going to type until I type it). Yet in truth ... I feel our romantic knight is saying now and ahead from here have the recipe of being the best years of our lives. He brings us hope 🙏 for a blossoming future.... if we can learn our lessons and make the changes necessary. "Never underestimate the valuable and important difference you make in every life you touch, for the impact you make today has a powerful rippling effect on every tomorrow.” - Leon Brown #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling
Turn, turn, turn. And from the universal comms team the song of the same name from The Byrds. https://youtu.be/2zx6j4vI8lE The lyrics seem quite apt: To everything turn, turn, turn. There is a season turn, turn, turn. And a time to every purpose under heaven Basically everything is happening in perfect timing. There's no need to force it , everything is unfolding just as it is meant to. Let's see how the message appears in our cards today. Our first card is the 5 of wands.( wands representative of the fire element and action) Blimey they seem in some sort of rugby scrum, all clamouring to reach the flames. Fire symbolises many things, including passion, desire, rebirth, resurrection, eternity, destruction, hope, hell and purification. Perhaps in their desire and passion for rebirth into the world, they are causing a level of destruction for those around them. We can see mountains in the background. Mountains symbolise constancy, eternity, firmness, and stillness. Maybe showing where we have been in our consistent stillness over these past weeks. Many ancient cultures considered the mountain the “Center of the World.” It often serves as a cosmic axis linking heaven and earth and providing “order” to the universe. Out of that order we can now witness a level of potential chaos in the card, unless each person raises their consciousness of their personal impact on the progression of those around them, they will all be hindered in reaching their goal. Our second card today is the 4 of cups (cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions) Ah bless her, she doesn't half look fed up and bored. She's so preoccupied by what she doesn't have, or what she can't do, she is missing the gift being presented to her. There is such an abundance surrounding her and yet she is oblivious to it. Her mind is elsewhere, if only she could be more present, she might appreciate just how many blessings there are. Emotionally she is secure and safe ( the red hue to her left) she is being gifted an abundance bowl... right infront of her.... and we can see that an abundant harvest is manifesting from the seeds she set in the past. It just needs her to be in the present moment to recognise the fruits of her efforts. Our final card today is 12 the hanged man. Just chillin' ... just hangin' out.... no rush. Healing and enlightenment are taking place. May as well just glide with it. She knows that there's a bigger plan at play, so she may as well surrender to the flow of it. No need to force it. The new will come anyway. She knows that there's a time to every purpose under heaven. Our message today then reminds me of a second tune's song lyrics from Leon Haywood .... Don't push it, don't force it, let it happen naturally. https://youtu.be/OM2RxctTkj4 Everything is unfolding in perfect timing. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Change is gonna come. And from the universal comms team, the power house...Aretha Franklin and a song of the same title. https://youtu.be/k6YCxXQ6Scw Let's see what change awaits us with today's cards. First out today the 2 of pentacles ( pentacles representative of the earth element and manifestation) We see a woman trying to balance two pentacles. She's trying to find some sense of equilibrium. The background shows a grey landscape. In colour psychology, grey represents neutrality and balance. Its colour meaning likely comes from being the shade between white and black. However, grey does carry some negative connotations, particularly when it comes to depression and loss. Its absence of colour makes it dull. The word "stuck" comes to mind when I think of grey. And I guess that's where we have been. Stuck in limbo, stuck in lockdown, stuck in our progress perhaps? We also see lots of orange in the card. Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It is associated with joy, and sunshine. Orange represents enthusiasm, happiness, creativity, freedom, encouragement and stimulation. Quite the contrast hey ? So a balance to be achieved between being stuck or free.... between staying home or venturing out maybe? Our second card today is the 3 of wands (wands representative of the fire element and action) We've seen our surfer🏄♂️ girl a few times recently. That growing call to freedom and adventure gaining pace. Ready and waiting to catch the wave. ( the metaphor isn't lost on me). She's set and ready to go, yet she's not out in the water yet. We see a pink sea. The colour pink represents compassion, nurturing and love. It relates to unconditional love and understanding and the giving and receiving of nurturing. A combination of red and white, pink contains the need for action of red, helping it to achieve the potential for success and insight offered by white. It would seem she knows she can take action and yet her insights are keeping her from diving straight in. Our final card today is 16 The Tower. Number 16 resonates with personal willpower, independence, initiative, action and overcoming obstacles. Angel Number 16 is a reminder that our thoughts create our reality, therefore ensure that we hold only positive expectations about our life, lifestyle and material issues. In the card we see a tree being struck by lightning. Butterflies are being transformed to dust. All those acorns that the squirrel has scurried away are also disintegrating. All that was known and relied on in the past is now suddenly and dramatically changed. But did you notice the bright light appearing from behind the tree? Or the deep teal colour surrounding it? Teal possess strong powers of observation and perception, having the ability to identify the path forward, the way to personal success, offering balance between the pros and cons as well as the rights and wrongs of a given situation. Teal is a wonderful colour to have around when we are stuck in a rut and are unsure in which way to move. Teal may assist in an emergency offering clear thinking and positive decision making. Although all familiar and trusted foundations have seemingly been destroyed, a new beginning is emerging, a brighter path is being illuminated for us. In summary today, change is gonna come .... that's not to be disputed. How it appears and how we embrace it is really the question at hand here. It would appear it's down to us to move forward with consideration and balance. #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Going back to our roots. And I was given two songs from the universal comms team along with today's cards. The first was Bucks Fizz's " Land of make believe " https://youtu.be/l6DOGITIfAY And the second an absolute classic from Odyssey " Going back to my roots". https://youtu.be/99p35Dk8EV4 I wonder how each might play out in the cards today ? Our first card today is the 6 of cups ( cups representative of the water element and of feelings and emotions) Enter Bucks Fizz intro... This beautiful dreamy, reminiscent and nostalgic card brings us memories of times gone by, old times, old friendships.... the ways things used to be. Its a feeling of warmth and innocence. We see a small boy with his puppy moving through time to become a mature man and his trusty friend , now an old dog. They sit remembering those childlike adventures together. I get the feeling that this card is a symbol of us reconnecting with some of that simplicity right now.Where summer days were full of play and adventure. It makes me think of the long hot summer of '76. ... a time for me, of long hazy holidays in Cornwall or playing in the fields near home from morning until dusk. Not a care in the world , just total enjoyment of the moment and being surrounded by the adventure and joy to be found in nature. Maybe the elements of slowing down and reconnecting with a more simple experience of life for many these past weeks are being highlighted here. A more balanced, caring and meaningful way of being. Our second card today is the page of pentacles ( pentacles representative of the earth element and manifestation) and as this earthy page appears I hear a track shift to Odyssey's "Going back to my roots", what I notice with this card today is the feeling of starting afresh, new seeds planted and creating a new firm , more balanced foundation. Its as though we have gone back to the basics of what matters. What's important and in some ways it feels like going back to the roots of society and foundations of community.... I kind of want to say like going way back in time, to old values... I'm shown an almost tribal ... no not tribal... As much as a community hamlet or settlement, I'm talking way back in time, when nature was revered, the seasons were honoured and community was treasured.... Where each looked out for one another. A simpler life, living with more wholeness .... can I hear Bucks fizz again..? " ... the land of make believe..." It feels like a message to remind us to keep a tight hold on what we have rediscovered , through this experience. Our final card today is the king of cups ( another water element card) he is the ultimate heartfelt leader, compassionate, balanced and wise. He meditates on his situation, with a fish in front of him and starfish beside him. The Fish animal totem allows us to connect with water, the most creative and mysterious element of our world. Since ancient times, it has symbolised the depth of our subconscious and knowledge. In Native American culture , fish symbolises life, spiritual change and motion. The Starfish is a universal and celestial symbol of infinite divine love.In addition to love, the Starfish also emanates the energies of inspiration, guidance, brilliance, intuition and vigilance, with its connection to the stars. We see a sailboat upon the sea behind our king. Sailboats symbolise journey and adventure... And boy ....this has been some journey ! They are also associated with being carried along by the “breath of life,” as its primary form of momentum is gained through the wind in its sails. It's not lost on me that this pandemic has hit us right there ...."the breath of life", on so many levels .... what a massive wake up call . The Sailing symbolism represents a spiritual voyage, with the water embodying the source of all life, the embodiment of spirituality, the spiritual wisdom of the soul’s journey. The symbolism of sailing represents a new beginning, of exploring a deeper level of our collective consciousness. We are being called to re-awaken, to begin a more in-depth analysis of our knowledge and understanding of our higher self and of our purpose here on Earth. We are being called to go back to our roots, back to our foundations, in order that we may build a new more balanced , whole and meaningful way of being. I wonder... will we heed the call ? I hope so 🙏 #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful Today's storytelling.
Show up and shine. I've got a beautiful musical accompaniment from the universal comms team today. I doubt many readers will have heard it before. This moving melody and words is by GuruGanesha Band and is entitled "A thousand suns". https://youtu.be/tVYylcHszrM Om sat wahe guru... May the light of a thousand suns shine through, live the light of grace that you were meant to. Wahe guru... Carry the light of God's ( universe, creator, energy) love into this world, be the open heart this world longs for. Ahh ... a beautiful message for us today. Let's see how this light shines through in our cards today. Our first card today is the knight of wands (wands representative of the fire element and action) In our card we see a woman playing a djembe drum. According to the Bambara people in Mali, the name of the djembe comes from the saying "Anke djé, anke bé" which translates to "everyone gather together in peace" and defines the drum's purpose. The djembe is said to contain three spirits: the spirit of the tree, the spirit of the animal of which the drum head is made and the spirit of the instrument maker. One legend states that the djembe and the tree from which it is created was a gift from a Djinn or malevolent demigod, or Genie. The djembe's was traditionally used for storytelling musicians to pass on important religious, historical and cultural messages, often across multiple generations. This card is full of an orange colour. It is the color of joy, enthusiasm and creativity and promotes a general sense of wellness. Our second card today is 8 Strength. We see a young woman half human, half lioness. In her lap is a lamb. The lion symbolises strength, the lamb on the other hand symbolises meekness, and peace. Lambs are also a symbol of sacrifice. She wears a heart pendant and on her left arm she has a tattoo of the infinity symbol. She brings us a message of calm and compassionate leadership. She brings gentle strength. Our final card today pairs with Strength ( 1+7=8) 17 The star. The star 🌟 shines bright ( the lights of a thousand suns 🌞 perhaps) up above this woman. She is linked to the energy, entwined in fact. The spiritual purple colour all around her suggests a spiritually guided energy surrounds her. This is a signal that her wishes and dreams are beginning to manifest. Its time for her to realise her magnificence . To expect miracles to follow her highest self's guidance. If we look at the messages today there certainly is a theme for us to show up and shine. To let the light of a thousand sun's shine through us and out into the world. How will you show up today ? #makingadifference #lifeisbeautiful |
